Feeling a little lonesome tonight, Roni decided to go out and actually socialize for a change. She really kept herself buried in work, but, when you dealt with people who were supernaturally inclined and also usually clinically insane in some way or another, you tended to have a lot of busy nights. There usually wasn't a night where she didn't get at least one call from someone who needed someone to talk to. However, tonight she wasn't to talk to someone that *wasn't* threatening to jump off a cliff or something.

OK, let's be realistic. She didn't want to ONLY talk to someone that was suicidal in some way shape or fashion. So, after ordering herself a beer, she hung at the bar, one ear listening for her cell phone to ring just in case someone needed her. She hoped that tonight would be a quiet night, though.

Veronica Smyth (known as Roni to her few friends), hadn't quite completely unpacked her office yet. She had only arrived in LA a week ago, and unpacking was still...a work in progress. Luckily, the only things still in boxes were a few shelves of books that she hoped that she wouldn't need today.

She was working closely with the Watcher's Council, or, well, what was left of it. Mr. Pryce was the one that had asked her to come here. There were plenty of people in the area that needed some assistance in getting acquainted with their new lives, so to speak. They needed someone to talk to who could understand their backgrounds, but wasn't so close as to be in the middle right along with them.

Roni comes from a family of powerful psychics and witches. However, she is about as mundane as they come. She was born in a set of twins, and her twin brother seemed to have absorbed both his power and what should have been her power. Unfortunately, this seemed to have caused him to have debilitating visions that would incapacitate him for days at a time. He also had great abilities in witchcraft as well. Still, all of that power made him unbalanced mentally. She spent her life trying to help him as much as she could. Even though she has no powers to say herself, she understands better than almost anyone what they can do to you.

Roni twisted her hair back into a messy bun and pinned it with a pencil. Her first patient, a girl named Patience who had recently come back from the dead, would arrive soon. She just hoped that she didn't mind the boxes.

Jess here. Well, I'm bringing over this lady for a specific reason: some characters need a shrink to talk to. This is Veronica Smyth. Some might remember her from OSI. She hails from New Orleans, and she comes from a family of psychics and witches, although she is about as mundane as it gets. However, it does give her insight into minds that usually no one can understand, i.e. the minds of the supernatural.
