Getting Her Girlfriend the Hook Up
Who: Hope and Neely
Where: The Sugar Shack
When: Monday, September 27th

Neely had (gasp) actually been working regularly lately, mostly doing PR for Suicide Messiah's new album, but still. It was hard work. So hard that it required copious amounts of coffee and sugar, and where else was she going to get that other than The Shack? Nowhere. That's where. Which was why she made her way inside, dressed in: tight-blue jeans and wearing a three-quarter length white dress shirt with a gray vest, her long blonde hair curling loose over her shoulders. She had her work folder tucked under her arm and a smile on her face.

She ordered her drink from Mouse, always nice and mildly flirty with the girl, and stuffed a couple extra bucks in the tip jar while she wasn't looking. With a little hop to her step, she looked for a place to sit. Yet, while there were *several* free tables, she made her way over to a cute redhead's table, and asked: "Can I sit with you?" Of course, she didn't give the woman a chance to respond, before plopping down beside her. Ah, Neely. It's good to see some habits never change.

Mouse had another thirty minutes until the end of her shift, but Hope had finished with her final class of the day a bit early, so she had went ahead and come to the Shack, ordered herself a Mocha Frappe, and had sat down at a table with a book while waiting for her girlfriend to get off. So, when Neely walked up to her, asked if she could sit with her, and then went ahead and did just that, Hope looked a little confused before putting her book away.

"Sure," she said belatedly. "You're Neely, right?" She had seen Neely in here a couple of times before, after all.

"The one and only," Neely replied with a grin. She set her work folder down and took a sip of her iced coffee, eying the redhead over her cup before registering something. A scent (yes, she really *did* have an epic sense of smell), but she let it go for now. "Can't say that I've had the pleasure," she purred. Dammit, Neely! Stop that!

"We haven't technically met, but I've seen you around here," Hope said. "I'm Hope Davenport," she said, offering her hand to the blond.

"Neely Bale, but then you already knew that," Neely replied with a smirk, politely(!) shaking Hope’s hand. Of course, the whole polite aspect went out the window when she asked: "So, how long’ve you been knocking boots with my favorite barista over there?"

Hope blushed heavily when Neely asked her question. "Um...we've been dating for a little while now, if that's what you mean."

D’aw. Now Neely couldn’t make fun of that. "That’s sweet. I’ve been coming here for practically a year now and I’ve never seen her so… well, so HAPPY as I have recently." While she’d only had brief conversations with Mouse, she’d ALWAYS noticed her (which would explain why she was always so nice, hm?). "I’d venture a guess and say that’s because of you?"

Hope smiled. "Well, I hope that's because of me," she said shyly, smiling. "She's made me incredibly happy as of late."

"Awuh, that has to be the sweetest thing I’ve heard in a long time. Well," she rolled her eyes, "right after my wife telling me that she had no compunction doing me on top of the bar in front of everyone at Avarice… but you didn’t need to know that." Too Much Information thy name is Neely.

Hope's smile got a little wider when Neely said that she had said a sweet thing, although she blushed at the next part. "Guess you guys are still in the newlywed stage, huh?" she asked, looking down to take a sip of her coffee drink.

"I guess?" Neely nibbled on her lip thoughtfully. "We've always been like that, though. Well, okay. So when we first met I sorta had a rep, but… she looked past that, for some stupid reason."

"Well, at least she looked past your 'rep' for you, and now you're happy and mauling each other in clubs!" Hope said cheerfully. It would be Hope who would turn that into something light and cheerful.

Neely had to laugh at that. It was so sweet and unexpected. "That’s very true. And I can’t help but hold her every time I see her. In completely non-sexual ways. Gasp. …Well, non-sexual at FIRST, anyway." She really *did* need to learn what was appropriate to talk about with someone she just met, didn’t she? "Sorry. Totally Monopolizing the conversation. Tell me about you two. How’d you end up together and all that."

"Well, we met here, actually," Hope said about Mouse. "I...didn't realize I was attracted to girls before I met her, to tell the truth." Of course, her one experience with a boy had been so disastrous, who could blame her for turning to women after that?

"Oh wow," Neely replied, an actual smile on her face. "Who would’ve guessed that sweet little Mouse would turn anyone to ‘the dark side’?"

That just made Hope giggle all the more. "But the dark side has cookies. Didn't you know that?" OK, so she had once also shared this exchange with Mouse, but that just made it all the more awesome.

"True, and honestly: Who can resist cookies?" Neely giggled, honestly thinking that Hope and Mouse would likely be the sweetest couple in the history of EVER.

And they totally were. You would die of cute watching them. "No one can resist cookies, especially really sweet ones like Mouse can make." She blushed. "And...that came out a little dirtier than intended."

"My mind didn’t even go there," Neely replied, barely able to hide her smirk. Barely. "Alright, it’s settled. I’ve decided I’m going to do something nice for you two and you can *not* complain. I have spoken."

Oh, yeah, it didn't go there at all, Neely. Anyways..."What something nice are you going to do?" Hope asked, arching an eyebrow at her.

"That part hasn’t fully formed yet," Neely laughed. "Okay, so. Are there any bands on Ben’s label that either of you like?" Oh my. The wheels were turning now.

"Well, actually...Mouse DOES adore the band with Natalie McGuinness as the lead singer," Hope said to her. Sadly, the name of the band escaped her AND her mun at the moment.

"Perfect! Remy totally owes me a favor since that incident with the seventeen year old." She was stalking him, you dirty people! "And they maaaay be doing a surprise gig soon. As my new favorite couple, I’m gonna hook you up with a couple of VIP passes."

Hope's eyes went wide. "Oh my god..are you serious?" Holy crap Mouse would just DIE when she found out about this! "Oh my god thank you!" Hope practically squealed, actually reaching across the table and hugging Neely.

The hugging actually caught Neely off-guard, but she laughed and hugged Hope back. "You’re totally welcome." My. God. Neely just did a good deed that WOULDN’T lead to sex for her. Hell… might just freeze over yet.
