Visit From an Old Friend

[info]she__wolf
[info]btvsal
Who: Sofia OT Ben and Skylar
Where: Ben and Skylar's home
When: Thursday afternoon (November 19)

You didn't have to go too far in this city, if you knew the right places, in order to hear about Ben's most recent adventure. Sofia had been concerned, but she hadn't wanted to intrude on his family's grief. They had a shared past, a history, and more than that, they'd been friends…forever, it sometimes seemed…so it was no surprise that shortly after he was released from the hospital, the wolf-in-designer-clothing tracked him down just to pay him a visit and to see for her own eyes that he was going to be okay.

Her dark mane of hair was pulled back from her face with a pair of heirloom sapphire and diamond combs and her blue eyes were hidden behind a pair of Prada sunglasses. The way the baby blue silk of her asymmetrically cut Armani dress hugged her curves said it had been cut and hand-made for her and her alone. Yes, she still had a few nice things. She was getting by.

Some luxuries – or vices – couldn't be ignored, however, and she pressed the bell with a perfectly manicured finger. For as much as she loved to run wild, in her human form, Sofia had the look of a pampered, privileged princess. No one ever would have guessed just how dirty she liked to get.

On the Prowl?

[info]she__wolf
[info]btvsal
Who: Sofia OT Bronte
Where: Avarice
When: Saturday night (October 24)

It was safe to say that the undercurrent of drama making the rounds through LA's supernatural underbelly had yet to encompass all its players. Then again, Sofia had her own drama she was working through and everyone else's? Well, that wasn't her top priority.

Still, the fact that she'd yet to run into Benjamin again was almost too convenient. She wasn't looking to start trouble with him and apart from that wild (literally) night, she'd gotten the feeling that he wasn't too thrilled to see her in the city. True, he hadn't asked her to leave, so that was something, but to think that he was still holding on to some kind of past grudge? It unsettled her slightly.

Despite it all, she wasn't looking for him when she walked into Avarice Saturday night. She'd enjoyed the club the last few times she'd been there and, with so much other crap pressing on her mind, letting off some steam and relaxing was just what the doctor ordered. She was looking Euro chic in an artfully shredded mocha mini-dress that contrasted against the golden tone of her skin, accented with gold hoops in her ears and layers of diamond-encrusted gold bangles about her wrists. Sooner or later, if she didn't find some way of earning income, she'd have to start selling off her jewelry – or pawning, because most of her collection was of the variety that it might raise a few red flags if she tried to bring in the pieces to any reputable jeweler, and that was the last thing she needed.

With a smile to the girl working behind the bar, she ordered a double of Patrón and glanced over her shoulder to take stock of the people on the dance floor.

Who: Daniel Baker OT: Anyone
Where: LAGH & then Joe's Diner
When: Thursday, early evening (Oct. 22)

Even on his days off, Daniel ended up at the hospital. The nurse took a couple hours out of his day (when he wasn't on shift) to play the cello for the kids in the cancer ward and let those who were strong enough try their hand at the instrument. Wrapping up for the evening, Daniel and other nurses and staff were helping the kids back into their beds. Putting the instrument away, Danny said his farewells to the kids, and snapped the latches closed on the case, hefting the instrument down the hall to the nurses station where he could check his schedule.

It looked like he had one more day off (unless someone called him in, which would probably be the case). Good thing, too, he could catch up on more sleep! Saying goodnight to the rest of his co-workers before heading out, lugging the cello down to Joe's Diner for a late dinner.

Heating Things Up

[info]she__wolf
[info]btvsal
Who: Sofia OT: All
Where: Avarice
When: Saturday night (September 26)

Avarice. Oh, that was cute. Walking in past the guy at the door checking I.D.s – as if she'd ever had a problem being carded – Sofia couldn't help but wonder if Ben had the other six deadly sin dwarves hidden away somewhere. So that would make her, what? Snow White? The evil Queen? No, wrong fairytale. She'd always been rather sympathetic to the plight of the Big, Bad Wolf.

Really. That taunting bitch Little Red had been asking for it all the way to Grandma's house.

The thought curved her lips in a wicked little smile.

Instead of making a beeline for the bar, as so many seemed wont to do, she immersed herself instead in the crush of bodies on the dance floor. There was something about the heat, the primal writhing of bodies to the heavy, hard beats pounding around them, that just called to her.

Once and Again

[info]she__wolf
[info]btvsal
Who: Sofia OT Ben
Where: Angeles National Forest
When: Friday morning (September 25)

Warmth. She stretched out, her long legs singing in relief as she moved, the warmth pouring over her body. Overhead, sunlight broke through the tops of the trees as it began to rise above the horizon. Golden beams caught the sparkling, dancing particles of dust in the air and made them glow like hundreds, thousands of tiny faeries in the mystical quiet of the brush. She breathed in and her senses were overcome by a host of familiar scents and sounds. The soft blanket of grass rustled beneath her as she moved. There was an earthy freshness that came with dawn, when everything was covered with dew and time started anew.

A soft moan escaped her lips as she sat up and ran her fingers through her long, dark hair. Bits of grass and leaves shook free, but she was unperturbed. She'd take a shower soon enough. For now, she was content to watch the play of light as it filtered down to cast hypnotizing patterns of shadow and illumination over her legs, her skin the color of pale caramel. She was an exotic looking girl, all dark and tawny, save for her crystalline blue eyes that were both arresting and, at times, not entirely human. She could have sat there for hours as the sun climbed higher and higher into the sky, until she was bathed in its heat, but such tendencies had, at times, led to accusations of self-indulgence.

Standing up somewhat reluctantly, she brushed the dirt from her hip and the curve of her backside. Nude as she was, she could hardly have been mistaken for some woodland nymph by any early-rising innocent bystander. She was too tall, for one, standing 5'9" in her bare feet, and did not possess the lithe, ethereally slight build of such mythic creatures. She was visibly sturdy, of delicate bone structure but toned physique, and carried the voluptuous sort of curves known to lure mere mortal men into the potential danger of her embrace.

Rolling her shoulders back, she raised her arms over her head and stretched more fully. It didn't take her too long to get her bearings. Roughly ten yards off was the spot where she'd stashed her clothes before the shift. She loved to run wild – missed the days when she'd done so with the others of her kind. That was why, when she'd crossed paths with –

A faint smile crossed her lips as she turned and crouched down next to the strong, athletic body of the male she'd crossed in the darkest hours of the morning. Physically, there was an odd sort of recognition, as if she knew him but wouldn't have been able to place him immediately. Ten years had a way of changing a person. She didn't have to look at him to know him, however. His scent, perhaps that which science would have called pheromones, was quite distinct to her.

"Well. Some things never change."
