*I've backdated the scene in order to fit the phases of the moon. If the scene was set at the current date, it wouldn't be a full moon and thus Quinn wouldn't be traipsing around the streets attacking people. >:P
Sean was exhausted getting off an 18 hour shift at the ER and to make things worse, his sister couldn't pick him up. The doctor ended up having to walk three blocks to the nearest bus stop to catch a lift home. The trek to the bus stop was slow going due to his leg, but he thankfully had a block to go before he could rest while waiting for the bus. However, just as he passed an alley, Sean thought he'd heard a woman's scream. He paused at the mouth of the alley for a long moment before deciding he'd been hearing things and started to turn away when he'd definitely heard a scream that time, followed by what sounded like the crash of metal trashcans.
Cursing under his breath, Sean took off down the alley has best he could. He was a doctor, damn it, it was his job to help if he could! The alley ended up spilling into another one that crossed perpendicular to the doctor's path and he paused slightly to get his bearings; Nothing seemed out of the ordinary when he looked to his right, but upon turning left, Sean was surprised to see what looked like an overly large...dog? Wolf? It can't be a wolf, the doctor thought, a city is way too populated for wolves to get this far in.
At any rate, Sean lifted his cane and shouted, "'EY!" And rapt the cane soundly against the Dumpster, startling the animal (whatever is really was) enough that it bounded away and revealed a woman lying at the ground. Sean cursed again as he limped over, visually assessing the damage as he pulled out his cellphone and dialed 911. As soon as he was connected, Sean started rambling off a ton of information as he worked on the hysterical woman, unaware that he was in for a very rude awakening.
