Now we've got a routine going we should probably look at doing some more in-depth research. The most direct evidence on the military base has been wiped out and census records only go up to 1940 so far, but there are other sources that could give clues - church and land records from the 50s and 90s could show people appearing or disappearing with the opening and closing of the base and archives of small local newspapers or genealogical periodicals that are restricted to microfiche or card indexes might give some clues about what was going on. Since that would involve going to the site there might be a chance of talking to older people about what they remember too. In nearby towns the memory manipulation effects might be different since they aren't witnessing things firsthand. They most likely won't know anything solid, but there could be something unexpected.

You might've remembered the last time I wrote, I was complaining about a case I was assigned by the City. I didn't have to ask to be reassigned since I ended up leaving the town's law department to start my own private practice with Laurel and Harvey (and if that combination of names doesn't make you laugh, then you need to watch some old comedies). The case was turned over to somebody else, and I just heard that the guy decided to plead guilty to the charges.

You ought to know that Zelda and I are no longer dating. However, the breakup went very amiably, and we remain friends.

OK, so, now portkeys or whatever are real and we're in Texas which definitely was not one of our honeymoon destination options. This is fine. Being in quarantine is totally fine and we definitely aren't freaking out. I'm sure Amy totally accounted for "becoming a TV show" in her disaster scenarios. Cool, cool, cool.

Are we going to meet Walker, Texas Ranger? See the Friday Night Lights? OOO! Is everything actually bigger in Texas? But if everything's bigger, is everything the same amount of embiggened?
