I figured I'd let myself settle in before approaching anything even vaguely resembling a government agency. My name is Agent K. On the off chance that means nothing to you, which would feel less unusual to me, I work for a secret government agency that works with alien lifeforms from various places. We help them find places to stay and work and keep an eye on their movements. It is my understanding that strange and unusual things happen here that are not so easily explained and that often people forget what it was that happened or believe it's a gas leak or something of that nature.

Do you have any information on how that occurs? I have a device in my possession that alters memory in that it can erase memories and allows us to create new ones. I am uncertain if that or my services will be necessary, but the only other alternative is the Post Office and I'm not sure I feel up to the task of customer service.
