WHO: Various gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transfolk, and queers. And pluses!
WHAT: OUTback's First Meeting
WHEN: Wednesday, November 14th, early evening.
WHERE: History classroom
After weeks of stalling, Mason actually made good on his promise of setting out a safe queer space for himself and the rest of the community at IVI. The first meeting was nothing heavy, it was mostly a time for everyone to get acquainted with each other, talk about some of their experiences as a queer individual. Some of the election stuff was talked about for those American students that hadn't kept up on it*.
Mason also make sure that he was there to facilitate discussion but he didn't want to dominate the club. People are free to make whatever they want out of it. He'll also be looking at maybe doing some LGBT movie nights, and the club will continue having their unofficial viewing parties of Drag Race until the season is over.

* The first openly gay U.S. senator (Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin) was elected. Maine, Washington, Maryland all passed gay marriage as a ballot measure. Other things.
