[Warded to Ms. Brown]: Lavender, I hope you don't mind my writing out of the blue, but I'm in the preliminary stages of locating the land to begin building the UK orphanage on behalf of the Fawley Foundation and the families devastated by the war. I do however need to consult a security witch or wizard on any lands we deem to be in the final running (say the top three to five of them) to be sure that all security precautions can be made to the sight (both of the muggle deterrent-sort, and of the children-need-to-live-there-sort). If not you, might you suggest someone to me I would be able to work on this?

Clearly it's a freelance type of gig, but the foundation will pay for the time and expertise of whoever helps out.

[Warded to Alicia]: Alicia, have you picked a property for the children's home, yet? I have a couple of contacts that I thought might be a good place to start if you haven't already gotten the physical property in order.

St. David's day tomorrow. For anyone I haven't told in person, bit of a party round ours. Welsh cakes, cawl, anything else I can be faffed to make from mam's cookbooks. Any time from 6pm on.

I can't believe this. The Ministry have finally gotten back to me about my hospital stay last month - and they're 'encouraging' me to 'reconsider my decision to live and work with muggles who are unaware of the wizarding world'. They say it's not a law, but if I can't control my magic it would be safer. Which is insane. I barely even do magic. It's not my fault I got sick!

What am I supposed to do, break my lease and move? To where? And what about work?

I think our kitten may be the most judgemental audience I've ever played in front of. It may not speak, but there's something about the way that it stares right through me when I'm trying to play.

Open mic night is going to be nothing after this.

[Warded to Harry] -- Harry, I'm sure you don't remember me from school but Alicia Spinnet may have mentioned me in the last few weeks. I'm back in London and working for the Fawley Foundation, hoping to expand in to housing options in the magick community.

Alicia said you were also working on this, on the orphanage. I'd love to meet with you whenever you can (I hear you're an Auror now? I assume crazy hours, but congratulations, not there was ever any doubt) to speak more. Let me know when you're available? If you'd like?

Thanks, Harry. Not just for potentially giving me the time of day on this, but for... Well. I left Hogwarts for the US, with my Muggle parents, after Cedric died. He was a very good friend. I know you don't know me, but, anyway, thank you.

Ben & Bryn: I hope you don't mind kittens? Mum and Dad got us a cat for Christmas. If there're any allergies, just say the word and speak to some friends about charms and such to put around my room at the house. In the meantime, his name is Sin and he's quite friendly, they adopted him from an animal rescue.

Melinda: Can't thank you enough for the recipes, but I'm sure my housemates will regret my having more excuses for more bourbon in my diet. I'm sending along some of my first attempt, bourbon ginger cookies. Let me know what you think? I'm not a baker by any means, that eggnog was really my first attempt at ever cooking anything harder than tacos, your opinion would mean a lot, being that you're the expert in these parts. Also: how alcoholic are these sweets, do you think? I'm hoping to send some to my cousin Andie at Salem once she's back to the Academy, but she's only 13 and in the States and all. Hope the holidays treated you well.

Dora: How was your Christmas? Your New Years plans sound fun though I can't say I wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall of a girls' night. I might order a portkey over to Boston to see Andie before she heads back to school full time. But my family is the 'toast with sparkling cider at midnight and then all head straight to bed' type, so I figure I'll be back early on the first. Lunch? When do you go back to work?

Alicia: I've already entered my first Great Idea into the notebook, and if you see the Fawleys over the holiday, you can let them know. I want to work with you on housing for the orphans, but I think we can do more. The war displaced more than children - people who lost their jobs, their families, their standing. People who ended up in prison because of choices no one ever wants to make and because of spells no one should ever cast. What do you say? Want to help me change the Wizarding world?

Warded to Tristan, Julian, Mils, Wayne, Chris, and anyone else who would legitimately get an invite

So, I was thinking of doing a shopping trip to Paris, and I thought I would invite all of you. I need to know soon, so I know what kind of flat to rent. I was thinking of leaving Friday after work, and staying through the end of Tuesday of next week. That way, anyone who wants can come and go, and stay or leave, at their leisure according to their schedules.

I was hoping to get the rest of my Christmas shopping finished, and just relax. I find myself in dire need of not being in England for a few days.

[Public]: So word has it we might be having a Christmas get-together at the house. I'm looking for eggnog recipes that include a lot of alcohol. Send me your favorites?

[Warded to Dora]: Do you have holiday plans? My parents kidnapped me to Boston for my birthday with the family, but I won't be traveling again until the New Year. I'd like to see you. Soon.

[Ward to Julian]: I'm looking into a couple of animal adoptions and considering your side-kick at the office, I thought I'd reach out to you. Any suggestions? I'm still re-learning my way around London (and wizarding community, if I'm honest). Thanks.

November has disappeared as quickly as a Catapults goal advantage. The last couple of weeks have been mad and at some point I'm probably going to start assuming that all mushrooms are made of meringue. (Obviously I know they're not. Melinda's just been doing some wicked stuff at Sweet Nothings.)

[Public] -- I know some of you ordered things in time for the American holiday Thanksgiving (Mr. Summers, I'm looking at you). If you did - or had scheduled an end-of-November pick up with me - please schedule a time in the coming week to come pick them up at my flat. Christmas orders will be ready on time, please be sure to pick them up from me before December 23rd, on the 24th I'll be sending anything left over to St Mungo's. (They tend to need more around the holidays, everyone trying new toys and spells and so many family get togethers and all - and yes, this is your local potionsmaster's reminder to be safe in the holiday season).

I'll be taking a bit of time off after the 24th, so get your New Year orders in now and depending on your needs I'll have the first round ready by the third week of January.

Sera's daughter is due next month and after the New Year there will be a small family get together at my parent's Island estate in the Caribbean. You're more than welcome to join us. I know it must seem odd to invite them rather than Cecilia, but I've my marching orders (and maybe Mother is inviting her sister to something else? I stopped trying to figure out her thinking years ago and Mother always was a bit odd). I'll be accompanied by my girlfriend and her children, as well, and hope you can make it over.

It seemed quite like you've got your own place already - and a two bedroom, plenty of room, at that - but it really its quite a group we're working on to get together and get a rambling old house of delight. You're more than welcome if you're looking for a new scene.


[Warded to Dora] -- It was good to see you at the Pub, but I feel like my invitation got stolen by Richard. Would you want to get coffee sometime? Actually get coffee this time, instead of me running off like that first time?

Well then, it's that time. Been back less than a month and my mother is convinced I'm spending too much time in the house and not enough time out in the world doing good. As if spending my formative years doing just that wasn't enough.

Anyone looking for housemates? I like pets, but can negotiate. Don't smoke, but I drink a lot, then again, if you're considering letting me live with you - you probably already know that.

In other news... Anyone know where I can find a bar (or a television for that matter?) that shows American football around here? My Aunt & Uncle really don't appreciate me portkeying all the way over whenever I feel like it to see a game.
