I will never understand people who think their broom is a simple inanimate object that doesn't deserve simple maintenance and care. Honestly, if you wouldn't treat your wand a certain way then you sure as hell shouldn't treat your broom that way either. No wonder your broom isn't as responsive as when you first bought it, you pillock.

In other news, Cat is still bossy as hell and doesn't shut up until I pay her some sort of mind.

Intelligent rats sound good, until you remember that their intelligence means they can understand things like family and children, that they can feel love and grief and that they have the wits to know how to use their fabric bedding to hang themselves.

If I'd kept a better eye on them this wouldn't have happened

Did anyone lose a cat in Monument Alley? One seems rather fond of my doorstep and won't go away. Except it seems really small. So maybe it's a kitten.

I don't have any tuna left.
