Yes I forgot to write here about the Wingbeat Halloween stuff. If you've missed the posters up everywhere someone didn't plaster them as well as I thought, or you've not been to any major Wizarding area in the last two weeks plus.

In other thoughts:

Costumes that are easy when one of your legs is fake: Pirate
Jokes that get really boring when you're not in costume but people can see your fake leg: Pirate

Hardest part is exaggerating my limp any more. I know I have a small one, but I'm usually working to keep it minimal. It's fucking weird to work the other way.

Also I really cannot be fucked to deal with any more dirty pirate-themed jokes thrown in my direction. You have been warned. In the interests of looking professional I will simply not respond instead of swearing or whatever else my instinct is.

Nope, nope nope. Not having this weather. Wet and cold and it's not even Winter yet. Let's at least hope this year the leak doesn't come back at the shop, yeah?

I don't know what's gotten into the wizarding men of London but I've had to blacklist THREE clients this month. Is it the summer time? Perhaps the sun is bleaching their brains? My rules are incredibly simple and easy to follow, and I ask all the appropriate questions before setting them up with any of my girls. WHAT THE HELL? Franklin has been through the process and I'd love to ask his thoughts but... Well... to be honest, I don't like bringing up how we met. He's noticed. He's the first person I've 'dated' - like, actually seen, exclusively, though we haven't had any sort of 'talk' - and things couldn't be stranger. Makes me miss when I just did't care about such things - one offs are so much easier.

Oh My Merlin! You'll never believe who just came in buying the most adorable (read: boring, but whatever) lacy things!! She journaled me and asked if I would mind opening up for a few minutes as a favor. Scandalous!

Dear Godric, this weekend has already been amazing. We started last night at the poolside bar on the beach and danced the night away. This morning I treated myself to a full body massage and then full skin treatment. Nothing like a real exfoliation to make you feel brand new. After a nap, room service surprised Emma and I with a bottle of bubbly and I think tonight we'll try the restaurant here at the resort. Rumor has it the new chef is definitely up for a prestigious worldwide award next year. I don't think I ever want to go home. If Franklin wasn't waiting for me, I think I might kidnap Emma and just buy a little bungalow on the beach and, I don't know, work in a bar, or something.

[Warded to Emma] -- Franklin saw my winging last week about the rain and offered to buy me a weekend at a spa (have I mentioned how ridiculously well-suited I am to dating a wealthy, cultured, generous wizard?). Want to join me? I plan on getting a Portkey to Jamaica, because why not if it's a spa of my choosing? All expenses paid, of course, and we'll have the other girls keep the shop open - the joys of being your boss's bestie, no?

If anyone is looking for the enormous book on Tarot Interpretation that's been in the Corner every day since we opened, I've got it.

My card is the Nine of Swords which apparently means something lost or stolen, no time for a gamble. So I guess I won't be putting money on Ballycastle winning the league.

Who else got their fortune told on Saturday? I'm bored and curious, which is a pretty dangerous combination. Also willing to look stuff up if anyone else wants to know what their tarot cards supposedly mean.

[Public] -- this rain is killing my mood today. Anything fun going on?

I'm really enjoying the process of moving into my new house! Or should I say new home? It's exciting opening up all the closed drapes to let light in, going through what items should stay in this house and what should leave (as it's come furnished), wondering about what paint would look best in which room, what remodeling needs to be done while what should stay the same, and how it will all look in the end! There is, of course, lots to be done. Lots of organising and cleaning and shopping for things like flatware and kitchen utensils and linen. Who would have thought such things would be so exciting?

But one thing I do not find exciting is boggarts. Or one boggart. I think.

Apparently the previous occupants of this house were... interesting, to say the very least, and a boggart's moved into one of the upstairs wardrobes. This wouldn't really be a problem, except that it seems to keep moving from one dark space to another! Either that, or there's another boggart! It is very disturbing annoying trying to clean just to be confronted by one.

I've contacted the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, but they don't seem to be in any particular hurry to do their stupid job help out. As such, I'm wondering if anyone out there is capable of helping out with this problem. In addition, I've found myself in need of a bit of help disposing of a few items of a less than savoury nature that the previous occupants left behind (and have me believing that they, the items, are why the previous occupants left without taking anything in the house).

If anyone can help or point me in the direction of someone who can help, I'd greatly appreciate that.

Ladies! Mum & Dad have asked to meet this "mysterious boy" I'm "dating". They've said they're fine with a casual meeting but it's FRANKLIN for Merlin's sake. I CANNOT INTRODUCE HIM TO MUMMY AND DADDY. He's nearly Daddy's age (and Mum is younger than him!)! And I've never "brought someone home". What do I do?

This weekend was the best I may have ever had. I can't thank everyone enough! Franklin cooked me dinner Friday night and drinks with you girls Saturday night were perfect. I feel as giddy as a first year on Platform 9 and 3/4. Mid-twenties, hear me roar.

Heading to Finnigan's to see if anyone is up for playing cards or board games. Also going to see if anyone has any ideas to toss around for the end of April. I was thinking that if the weather's nice we could do a broom rodeo in the courtyard. That would of course mean no drinking ahead of time for entrants as we wouldn't want participants to get hurt.

This coming Wednesday, Quickpulse will be opening with our usual hours and back to normal business! The building has - all things considered - been put back together and we'll see how things go moving forward.
