Finally got a couple of pictures developed to share.

Boys and girls, today we are going to discuss what NOT to do to wildlife. Again.

As fascinating as this job was, I also ended up spending more time on a broom than I think I ever have in one go. Being on the short list to assist the ministry and the ICW with magical animals can be quite entertaining along with horrifying, but I'm not sure my body is ever going to be the same.

Now that I've gotten your attention, here is what I spent several days this past week rounding up and helping to unspell (a job much harder than you'd suspect):

I'm pretty sure we found them all. Whale hide is surprisingly hard to be uncharmed, but as they were all enjoying their time in the clouds, I suspect it might have been that they didn't WANT to go back in the water.

But if you happen to see one we missed, let us know, yeah?

I'm very glad I only had animal wrangling duties, and didn't have to deal with the slew of memory charms and such. And minimal paperwork for me.

But boys and girls, let's not charm the giant water mammals to fly in the sky, okay? My body still hasn't forgiven me the broom work.

First off, I wanted to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday, whether via owl or by stopping in the shop. It was very appreciated, and I had a good day. Bast even left me a live and unharmed (if slightly terrified) bird in my work room. It was a parakeet, and I'm not sure where she found it, but it has been given its own cage and seems to be settling in behind the counter at the store very well. Go Bast.

Fearless I’m more interesting than I seem

It's a busy time at the shelter right now. Puppies and kittens, but most aren't ready to be homed just yet. But rest assured, you'll be hearing about them! These two are very deserving of your attention, however, and would love for you to stop by and see them.

Her foster mum says she’s very playful and loves her shiny toys, but also adores being cuddled on a lap and let to nap there. I predict she’ll be quite a cuddler when she’s fully grown. All her sibs have been adopted out, and she says she is more than ready to have her own home. She is good with other cats, so far at least, and only seems to have problems with aggressive dogs. JESSUP I need a cuddle

I believe he grew up in the magical world – he’s just different enough that I can’t place him in the Muggle world. He was obviously taken care of once. He’s housebroken, playful, and a joy to be around. He knows several tricks and though he can be stubborn, he's very smart and learns well. He would love nothing more than to be your new best friend. I have several pet profiles almost finished -however, puppy and kitten season is xoming fast and hard this year and handling that has taken up much of my time. So my apologies on that.

If anyone wants to foster a bunch of babies, please let me know. I'm getting them in almost faster than I can foster them out right now.

Puppies! Kittens! Dogs and cats!

As well as a couple of birds and the odd rabbit.

Question for my fellow business owners! How do you deal with customers who don't follow the rules of your establishment?

I ask only because I had yet another patron wander in drunk today, and then get belligerently upset when I asked him to come back when he was sober, even though that rule is clearly posted on the front door and all over the place inside.

Any thoughts would be appreciated! Otherwise I'm going to ask Zacharias to put up wards against drunks on the entrance to the parlor.

I had hoped my name wouldn't come up, but I just got an owl summoning me to help with a dragon.

The only help I'm generally asked to do with that, is when one dies and the parts have to be taken care of, which can be rather lengthy and messy.

So I'll be away several days, I fear. I'll find someone to mind the shop while I'm gone, even if it's Grandfather.

This year I am going to be SO organised and not end up buying presents two days before Christmas. I've written a list of everything I need to buy, so now all I need to do is the actual shopping, which is OBVIOUSLY the fun part.

I can't wait to decorate!!! But my flatmate is making me wait until at least the 1st. So I think I'm just going to eat my weight in clementines instead.

I miss my girlfriend dreadfully.

I also miss my cubby.

And I'm doing the books tomorrow. This is not something I like doing at all. AT ALL.

Bast the monster cat says hello, by the by.

So, I'm back in London less than a week and I find myself at a bar called Finnigans's. Nice enough place, too much meat on the menu if you ask me, but the bartenders were all very good at topping off my glass when I wanted them to, so there's that.

And the server hands me a journal and says it's something to do with the new community here. Seeing as my office will be in the neighborhood, they wanted me to have one, but I don't have any clue what to do with it.

So I guess I'm saying - any Hufflepuffs out there looking for a reunion? Otherwise, I don't quite know what this is for.

Oh yeah, hey Badgers, I'm back in the UK. I know it's been a long time, but I'm sure some of you haven't forgotten my rakish good looks and somewhat difficult-to-understand charm.

While poking around at the dig in Malia, I had an idea, or rather, thought about an idea I've had for quite some time. I would like to update my grandfather's book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and maybe even compile another of a similar nature. I've been told it is a good idea by a dear friend, so I thought I'd venture forth.

While I have tons of datum, I want to bring in as much information as possible, so anyone with information to contribute on any species of magical creature, please feel free to contact me, and we can talk and compare notes and research.

Anyone interested? You will be credited, of course!

Having a fabulous time. It's beautiful, it's warm, it's great, and I have the best company a person could ever ask for.

First and foremost, does anyone know someone trustworthy who would be willing to watch the store for four days for me? Manning the till, tidying, and at least supervising the assistants in kennel cleaning and such? I should be available via owl if there's an emergency, but I want to take a trip out of the country for a few days.
