I've decided to throw a dinner party this coming Thursday evening. I know it is somewhat of a short notice. Let me know if you'd like to come. I'll provide a roast and some chicken but I'd love to stretch my horizons and let you all bring your favorite appetizers, salads, sides, and desserts to share. If you're planning on coming let me know. The more the merrier.

I'm so, so happy that we continued the good start to the season on Thursday.

Not going to lie, it was hilarious seeing my brother try to hit on one of the players after the match. He failed SO miserably that it was even more amazing a sight than that third goal.

And on top of that I managed to wangle myself a cheeky behind the scenes tour for the next home match.

Best fucking sport in the world.

Today I turned 26. Another year older and nothing to show for it. At least I have a three day weekend.

I am on my fourth day of shepherd's pie and there are at least two days worth of servings left. I don't want to throw it away but I doubt anyone else would want it even though the charms I put in place have left each serving tasting fresh out of the oven.

I haven't been out of the house except for work in two weeks. I've had that feeling of dread that came over me when I was hiding Muggleborns. It is unshakable. There's nothing rational about it but it is there regardless. Why can't I make it go away? It's even creeping in on Rachel. Please, Merlin I beg not to ruin Rachel.

Just in time for the start of the 2005/-06 Quidditch season and due to popular demand, Sweet Nothings will be adding the team cakes to the menu for the next three weeks, starting this Tuesday. Like last year, the cakes are a generous 1-serving size, however special orders for larger cakes are also welcome.

We're still looking for full- or part-time employees to fill the position Bryn left when he started up Crumbs (We would like to use this opportunity to give him our fullest recommendation and support: If you haven't tried his sandwiches, you've missed out!). Training will be provided and we will do what we can to find the best suitable tasks for you.

Today has been wonderful. I had absolutely no where to be. I've spent all day curled up on the couch with my new Sudoku book with the wireless instrumental playing quietly in the background.

Good thing I got to relax considering I have an early shift at the shop in the morning. We'll be stocking the new sets of school books in anticipation of yearly Hogwarts owls.

I hadn't been, but then last night I hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner and the Bride & Groom's speeches were so beautiful and I was in the back and I just... Merlin. I've been a wreck ever since and just started crying and what am I doing? It's, like, 8 in the morning. Fin maybe sort of might be falling for me and I just don't know what to do. I'm devastated.

Ladies! Mum & Dad have asked to meet this "mysterious boy" I'm "dating". They've said they're fine with a casual meeting but it's FRANKLIN for Merlin's sake. I CANNOT INTRODUCE HIM TO MUMMY AND DADDY. He's nearly Daddy's age (and Mum is younger than him!)! And I've never "brought someone home". What do I do?

I was thinking that if the weather's nice we could do a broom rodeo in the courtyard. That would of course mean no drinking ahead of time for entrants as we wouldn't want participants to get hurt.

This coming Wednesday, Quickpulse will be opening with our usual hours and back to normal business! The building has - all things considered - been put back together and we'll see how things go moving forward.

I've been talking with Seamus about instituting a game night of sorts. We've discussed and have an outline for what I think will be a fun kick off event. So grab a partner and head on over to Finnigan's this Saturday evening for a bit of a challenge and some dessert drinks. Small entry fee to cover the cost of alcohol. I'm hoping for a good turn out. There will be a sign up sheet on the wall by the door to the Roost between now and Saturday at noon. If you can't find a partner don't worry singles can sign up and be paired for the night of the event.

Winning pair gets a dessert drink named after them and added to the menu for an amount of time determined by Finnigan.

So, a while back I attempted to come up with a game night. Just wondering if there would be any interest for silly games that let us cut loose on occasion without necessarily having major competition or consequences? I'd be up for putting something together once ever other week or so. Besides I've got to find a way to at least pretend to be more sociable.
