I saw the quaintest, but oddly adorable, country cottage listed in the Prophet this morning. Enough land to set up really good privacy wards, space to plant flower and herb gardens, and a grove behind big enough for rituals. Only four bedrooms and three baths, so still just a little thing, but... Tell me it's a bad idea to take on another property in this market.

I was supposed to be in the Other part of London today, but Sophie was running late, she's the one working with me on the steel contract, I think I mentioned I.E. got that last week, and she called and said her son's crèche had called her to say he was sick, and could we meet for lunch tomorrow, and Dora, I think she's dead. There were bombs set off, and it looks like one of His attacks all over again. She was all right, really, not a bit like I expected, even though she didn't have a drop of magic in her, and she had awful taste in men, and I think she may be dead, because her car wasn't working properly, so she was taking the Tube, those Muggle underground trains, to go get him. Half the building's in an uproar, and we can't get any work done, and I can't find Rich to make him tell me what's going on, because you know he'll probably already know, and what if they've got magic, Dora? What if they get into our London, and what if it's like the War all over again? I can't think of it, Panda, I can't, I just can't. What if they've got magic? Jane Floo'ed, and she said even Father'd taken notice, said he says they're such barbarians, making little explosives that can do so much more damage than spells, and really, it's a shame that the Ministry's stooped so low lately to be so friendly with the Muggle Parliament, and talking about how the Muggles are thinning their own herds, but I keep thinking about Sophie, and how she wasn't stupid like we learned Muggles are.

I'm headed to a meeting that didn't get added to my work calendar until the last minute, so some things I was having sent to the office are being rerouted to the house instead. Two of them are coming through owl post, and will need someone to sign for them. Do you mind? The other will be via a courier service, and won't arrive until after tea. I should be home by then, but in case I'm not, the courier will be wearing official green livery, and will present a letter from my client as proof of authenticity.

Is anyone who hates housework in desperate need of a roommate? I'll do all of it in return for a reduced share of the rent, on a temporary basis.

In relation to that, is anyone hiring? I can't work with animals or children but I will consider almost anything else, although I can be annoyingly picky for which I apologise in advance.

If anyone is looking for the enormous book on Tarot Interpretation that's been in the Corner every day since we opened, I've got it.

My card is the Nine of Swords which apparently means something lost or stolen, no time for a gamble. So I guess I won't be putting money on Ballycastle winning the league.

Who else got their fortune told on Saturday? I'm bored and curious, which is a pretty dangerous combination. Also willing to look stuff up if anyone else wants to know what their tarot cards supposedly mean.

I know, I'm such a horrible friend, having to postpone your birthday celebration. Unfortunately, between your trip and my last minute uber deadline, my plans for your birthday were all messed up.

But Caduceus is on his way to you with your present now. I put the final touches on it this morning. I must admit, I'm terribly nervous as to whether or not you'll like it.

Now open your gift, and no, please don't be disappointed yet. I know the little owl statues [each one a little different than the other, and animated slightly] aren't much to look at, but bear with me! Put one in each corner of the room, any room, and go stand in the middle. Face each one in turn and say this incantation [incantation warded hard for her eyes only].

It's as close as I could get to the ceiling of Hogwarts, without actually getting more Charms masters and invading your home. The up side is it is portable, and you can change the rooms by moving the statutes to a different room -- so now you can always have a magical ceiling, whenever you want and wherever you go.

I have several pet profiles almost finished -however, puppy and kitten season is xoming fast and hard this year and handling that has taken up much of my time. So my apologies on that.
