Planning on spending at least two more days on the landscaping at the Pucey estate. The cold can be handled with charms, after all, but I don't want to be doing work when it starts getting wetter and more dangerous.

Then we're on to the inside. We're still in need of furniture donations, in particular for the dorms - kids beds, dressers, and the like.

This week I'm starting a sandwich of the week at Crumbs. Limited edition sandwiches (or similar) that might make it onto the main menu if they turn out to be popular.

This week (available until Saturday): tomato and basil chicken with homemade mayonnaise.

Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday! We had a great first day and the foyer is nearly finished. Tonight I'm going to head back up and get to work on some of the outside space - now that we have an inside 'staging area' with the foyer, if you will, I want to focus on outside landscaping before it gets too cold.

Rose, I know you've been working on cleaning out the Pucey estate but I was curious if you might have a timeline in mind? Of course, safety is the most important thing, and the Fawleys agree, so there's no rush or pressure. I just wanted to see what you had mind. (Is it obvious I've never done anything like this before?)

The de-charming and de-potion-ing of the Pucey property is coming along well. Next will be a thorough cleaning. Of the old fashioned sort, lots of scrubbing and dusting and removing of some furniture to be done.

Anyone want to volunteer for a day or two with the Foundation toward the end of this month?

After cleaning will come the new wards and protective spells, and then moving in furniture and the like, but not until the cobwebs are all gone.

Happy Fourth of July to my fellow transplants. Yes, I'm not American, but I'm HALF American. But I also spent like half of my life IN AMERICA, too. We used to always drag my Aunt & Uncle into Boston to see the fireworks at the Esplanade and it was always totally magical. Today makes me miss my family there, my cousin Andie especially, and so I'm sending out love from across the ocean and toasting a delicious Kentucky bourbon here at the house.

[Warded to Rose] -- Rose, I saw via journal that you've finished your training - congratulations! I was hoping to totally inconvenience you now that you're all "official" and now that the property deal for the (other) Pucey estate is finally signed and sealed. I've been told by the Ministry and the Foundation that the first thing I have to do (before I'm even allowed to do anything over there) I need to go over the property with a Cursebreaker just in case. Might you be available over the next week or so to join me for a lovely day of hard work and misery and dust and potential spooky surprises?

I'll be spending some time up at the new property next week and so I wanted to announce - the Fawley Fondation got the Pucey land! Many many thanks to Alicia, Adrian, and our many wonderful donors and arbitrators. First up will be the security sweeps and cleaning, and we're hoping to start construction on the main building by this Fall.

Who can help a wizard out? I'm desperate for a telly in my house. I just can't keep popping up to Mum & Dad's when I want to watch the same movies over and over again or binge on bad muggle shows. I'm not the master of electronics and magic that I need to be, though. Anyone with any ideas? I know it exists, can I just go buy one? Where?

Good afternoon, I'm sorry to write you both on the weekend but wasn't sure a Cursebreaker's schedule, so figured I'd try my luck. I'm Chris Summers of the Fawley Foundation and I've been asked to hire a Cursebreaker (or two) to check out a property in Cambridgeshire that we're looking into buying as the future home of the Fawley orphanage. Your names came up in conversations at the Foundation as two people who were skilled and might be willing to help us out? Please let me know if you're willing/able and when you might be free? I can join you at the property, which we can Portkey to at your convenience.

Alicia + Harry,
After multiple site visits and consulting with experts on security, children, and carpentry, I think I can safely say I've come to a decision on which property we should move forward on concerning the youth home. I've spoken to the current estate and they're willing to hold off on public auctions and offers so that we might come to an agreement on an offer from the Foundation.

I'd love your input on this next step, as finances are a bit above my head. What do you think? The current owners are the Pucey family, or a relative of them at least.

Many many thanks to everyone who signed up to join me on my site visits! Tomorrow is the first, if you'd still like to join, meet me at the Fawley Foundation office on Monument, I have a portkey for all of us.

This is the first step in an incredible new chapter for the Foundation and for the all the families we help to support. I'm nervous but so excited, too.

I'm finally ready to begin scheduling site visits with five potential estates in the coming weeks. I'll need the input of Security folks, perhaps artists and architects or carpenters if anyone's interested, and of course anyone interested in the further work of the Fawley Foundation as investors or volunteers!

So this is an open call - who'd like to join me on these field trips? We'll have portkeys set up as the estates won't all be connected to the floo network (yet) and my schedule is fairly flexible, as usual. Send me a note if you'd like to take part!

[Warded to Dora] -- So Rolf has that big sort of 'sale' going on, trying to get all the animals at the shelter adopted out, and I thought you might like to join me to see about maybe adopting some company for Sinjin? I haven't decided between another cat or a dog yet, and I haven't talked to the guys at the house about it, but either way - as long as you're not allergic - I though it might be a fun afternoon?
