Journal: Lots of messages to lots of people
[Public] -- I know some of you ordered things in time for the American holiday Thanksgiving (Mr. Summers, I'm looking at you). If you did - or had scheduled an end-of-November pick up with me - please schedule a time in the coming week to come pick them up at my flat. Christmas orders will be ready on time, please be sure to pick them up from me before December 23rd, on the 24th I'll be sending anything left over to St Mungo's. (They tend to need more around the holidays, everyone trying new toys and spells and so many family get togethers and all - and yes, this is your local potionsmaster's reminder to be safe in the holiday season).

I'll be taking a bit of time off after the 24th, so get your New Year orders in now and depending on your needs I'll have the first round ready by the third week of January.

+++

[Warded to Alicia] -- I miss you like mad, babe, did you know that? I want to rectify this 'me working far too much' thing - how would you and the twins like a getaway after Christmas? I'll have to meet Sera's daughter by then, and we can spend the New Year skiing and then go to the Islands?

+++

[Warded to Draco] -- How are things going? Was the medical shipment helpful in the opening?

+++

[Warded to Michael] -- So you're working for Draco's new shop? Always new I saw talent there. What are your specialties? Do you freelance at all?

+++

[Warded to Susan] -- I still owe you a birthday drink but before you come stomping down my door to find out where I've been (which I have no doubt you can do), I've got some volatile potions going and they're needed by this month or next so I've scarcely been able to leave the flat. Let's make time soon though, yeah?

+++

[Warded to Millicent] -- Cousin, Mother asked that I get in touch (and in general I am sorry it's been so long). Sera's daughter is due next month and after the New Year there will be a small family get together at my parent's Island estate in the Caribbean. You're more than welcome to join us. I know it must seem odd to invite them rather than Cecilia, but I've my marching orders (and maybe Mother is inviting her sister to something else? I stopped trying to figure out her thinking years ago and Mother always was a bit odd). I'll be accompanied by my girlfriend and her children, as well, and hope you can make it over.

+++

[Warded to Tristan] -- Glad to see you got a journal. Does that mean you've been into Finnigan's Pub? I barely remember him as being a Gryffindor back in school, but he tolerates my very expensive taste in whiskey so I'm always glad to see him at the bar. How's Monday night for you? I should have a nice stopping place in my latest work by then.

Some of us have family in the States and I happen to have a cousin in her third year at Salem.

Way to keep things professional, Pucey. I'll pick them up next week.

Courtesy and with a smile, too, isn't that what you look for in a potionsmaster?

Oh, no? You look for talent and skill and reasonable prices and honest communication? I never would have thought so.

I miss you too, and yes, you do work too much, but so do I sometimes.

Still loving the idea with skiing followed by sun, so I've been looking into a couple of places and right now I'm leaning towards a chalet in Aspen, that'll be big enough if we bring a nanny (which is something I'm still trying to make my mind up about and would very much like your input on).

Speaking of; I have some paperwork to do tonight, so how about I bring dinner and then convert your sofa into my office? I may - as much as I hate to give you more work - also ask very nicely if you could get a batch of my monthly Potion brewing, unless you have some available already.

You certainly do. I can't wait to have you all to myself for two weeks. Well, all to myself and the twins, at least.

And yes, we should bring a nanny, because my mother will be devastated if she doesn't get to kidnap us while we're visiting and I know I'll want to kidnap you all for myself, as well. I promise, I'll give you back to them, though.

As of this note your potion is in the works and I'd love to you see tonight. What time?

There will be twin-free hours, maybe even a day or two, or I will end up losing my mind, I think.

Your mother wants to kidnap us? Should I be scared? Either way, I'll hear Marie if she's interested. If not... then I'll find another solution (a second nanny or asking Sam if he'd be available or something like that).

You are amazing and wonderful and did I mention amazing? 7'ish? Pizza or Chinese?

I'm sure she'll want to get us alone - you've heard my stories, just wait until you get the experience yourself. I'm pretty sure she'll try to have you agreeing to marry me by the end of the week there.

Pizza. You are the best girlfriend in the world, easily.

Really? That's all? Frankly I'd rather have her try to get me to agree to marrying you than trying to drive me away from you.

Well, what can I say? I have a hot, sexy, and amazingly wonderful boyfriend who makes it easy to be the best.

Sexy, you say? I must meet this man.

Mother would never try it - for one she's not that stupid and for two you're perfection personified.

Very sexy. You should, but hands off; he's all mine and I don't like to share.

I'm hardly perfect, but I'm glad to hear that your mother wouldn't try to do that.

So, do I get to see you on the beach in the proper attire? Or will I be the only one prancing around barely dressed?

I don't think he'd want you to share, either. Of course, keeping my hands off of him doesn't mean I have to keep them off of you, does it? Because that just won't do, I'll have to lay him out for that.

And what is proper attire for a gentleman at the beach? (Please tell me you really will be barely dressed, if at all).

No. No, I think he'll be pleased about your hands being on me. I know I will and have yet to experience otherwise.

For you, I'd say a pair of tight swim shorts. Unless it's a very private beach, then yes, barely dressed would do it. That is, if this counts as barely dressed:

You're actually going to kill me. Is it 7 o'clock yet? And are you really bringing work? Don't bring work.

Hm, killing you wasn't what I was going for...

I believe it's 7 o'clock real soon, and yes, I am really bringing work. Oh, but will you look at that? Seems I'm very easily distracted tonight.

Can't wait to distract you.

I don't know if I should be glad I don't have a regular potion order for you or concerned that I'm not taking care of myself properly.

It does seem everyone has something they want a potion for. But I wouldn't stay in business if I told them all I hardly use them accept for the occasional hangover, now would I?

That's because you know what goes into each potion. I wonder if they new the ingredients of their favorite half of them would find other ways to cope.

I bet they'd have some idea if they'd paid any attention at all at school.

Then again, maybe I'm glad they didn't.

I'm sure. Still, how easily we forget when it isn't something we actively participate in regularly.

Yeah, I have. Couldn't tell you which one he was then or now, though. But Monday's good for me. Don't think I've got anything planned that night, and I'll make sure I don't now. What time's good for you?

Anytime, one of the many perks of working from home.

Let's say 8, I'll grab take away make sure I pull out one of my oldest, dustiest bottles of whiskey.

Sounds like a plan!

Where are you living these days? Makes it a bit more difficult to show up for whiskey and take away when I don't know your address, I just realised.

Oh! Yes. I own the building next to the Fawley Foundtation on Monument Alley, you'll see a small plaque calling the place Potions (by the Pucey Family, est. blah blah blah) next to the door.

Yes, yes you do! I was just putting on my stomping boots actually. I kid, I was just groaning about how sore my ribs are, so kicking down doors will just have to wait. But yes, potionesque explosions are never a good thing, so let me know when you've time for the drink!

Life has been hectic all around, so no apologies needed, dear. I'll clear my calendar; it's been too long since I was somewhere tropical, and doubly so since I saw Sera. You'll have to put a tracking spell on me, because I may just decide to stay on the beach once the trip's over! Rich would have my head, of course. But I can dream.

Has Sera picked out a colour scheme for the baby? I've been holding off on presents until I knew.
