When: Early Morning (Moscow), Evening (Los Angeles)
Huddled down in a crouch in the phone booth, Yuri clenched the handset of the public phone to her ear waiting impatiently for someone to pick up at the other end. Two rings had already sounded, which only served to make the Slayer more nervous as she knew the longer she stayed anywhere within the city of Moscow the more chance there was that she'd be tracked down.
Giles finally got to the phone as it started ringing the third time, and let out a deep sigh as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Hello?" He wasn't trying to sound rude or anything... but between the drama with his own slayer, and helping set Wesley up as the head of the Watchers in that area... he'd been more than a little stressed.
Her eyes went wide almost as if she was surprised to actually be hearing a voice from the other end. "Mister Giles?" A heavily accented voice questioned as Yuri dared a glance out of the phone booth to survey the land once again. The teen wanted to be sure she had gotten through to the right person with the number given to her.
"I suppose that would depend on who is calling..." He replied, noting the accent but for now keeping mostly quiet. Who knew who this could have been, really? He brought his cup of teat to his lips, sipping it to calm his nerves.
"I need to know I call right person." The longer the guy kept her on the line the more endangered Yuri knew her life became. "This is Mister Giles, Watcher, yes?"
Then he placed it. The accent. This must be the Russian girl he'd been notified of. "Yes... this is Mr. Giles. Who is this?" He wanted to hear the name before saying it... make sure this wasn't someone trying to trick him or sabotage anything... God, he realized then how paranoid he had to be in this business...
"Miss Breize was killed," she informed him unaware that the news would have already reached the man's ears, "she said to contact Mister Giles if something bad happened."
"Please verify your name for me, dear, and I'll help you as much as I can..." He said, already grabbing for his notes, for the information he'd been putting together. He'd been planning on contacting the girl, getting her set up here with a new watcher, but... it seemed that she had gotten a head start on that.
"Yuri. Yuri Petrovsky." The girl then went silent with her breathing barely audible over the phone line as she peered out once more from the phone booth. It would be the only way Giles would know that she was still on the line.
"Thank you, dear. I apologize... I just have to be careful right now. Where are you? I need to get you to a safe place as soon as possible." From the tone of her voice... she was terrified. And he needed to get her somewhere safe and calm QUICKLY, let he have another Candice on his hands.
"Moscow." And it was more that she was worried about being tracked down then she was terrified. A group of vampires wasn't exactly something a Slayer went up against alone, unless there was no other option afforded to her. Yuri waited now to hear what Rupert Giles might now supply here with. A destination that might soon have her miles away from her home city.
"Can you get to the nearest airport that can fly you to the United States?" Dammit. This was going to be hard. But... Giles knew he had the contacts to get it taken care of. "Tell me the nearest airport, and by the time you get there I'll have you a ticket ready. I can get you to Las Vegas, and have your Watcher waiting there for you." Honestly? Giles hadn't even finished figuring out WHO her watcher was going to be... but now? He had to make a split-second decision.
"I will get to airport Las Vegas." The Slayer replied with an unseen nod. "Who will I contact in Las Vegas?"
Well. The girl definitely had to work on her English a little... but Giles made a note to get her a good tutor. "Yes, you'll be going to Las Vegas, but I need to know the name of the airport in moscow you'll be going to. And once you get to Las Vegas..." he looked at his notes, "You'll be looking for a man named Jason Abrams. I'm going to call him the moment I have your ticket purchased. He'll be waiting there for you." Giles would make SURE of that.
"I will look for him." A nod again accompanying the Slayer's response. "Jason Abrams." Loud words spoken entirely in Russian were then heard, followed by a breaking of glass. Then the line just seemed to go dead.
