I can't help thinking about Maggie and the other animals that didn't come with us. Are we going to end up back there like we never left like we did after the space cruise or have they just been left behind? Or maybe they'll turn up at the next place we jump to.

This is the exact sort of situation I got Maggie for in the first place, too.

All those trucks yesterday, I think they're trying to build something down in the town. I'm gonna do another flyover and see if I can hear anything interesting! Anyone wanna come with??

We got shelter, water, security and clothing covered. Our priority now needs to be figuring out food.

How have the hunting trips been going? Is that gonna be sustainable?

What's the best sorts of foods to be getting up here that we can easily store and cook with? How are we gonna handle any special dietary needs? From what I remember Texas was in a big old drought at this time. The less we go taking from the people in this area the better probably.

I have a horrible feeling that this situation may last even longer than I imagine and so I would like to suggest an idea: we should monitor group morale and see if we can have teleporters on standby to ship groups out to places that aren't half as dreary as Tumbleweed if people get too frustrated. One of us will have to accompany anyone with a physical mutation, but if no one else wants to leave this cave, I will happily volunteer my services each and every time.
