We've got a problem.

Some recon into Sweetums has discovered that they've come down with a sickness. The symptoms? Purple pustules, green dots, and vomiting. Those of us who were in space, whether we caught it or not, are carriers and we've infected these people.

We've got to come up with a solution from our limited means here.

Ah, shit. And they've got people coming through all the time bringing in supplies, which means it's got room to spread. They're not gonna listen to us if we try quarantine them.

I can't much think of anything else that's plausible. We could physically block the town in, with all the magic users we got, but with the military around it could get pretty messy.

I'm not sure there's much we can do from here. We could at least go around and try to ease their symptoms, but without being able to stay hydrated, I'm afraid we're not looking at a good outcome.

There were people with healing abilities that got sick too, weren't there? So it's not even like we've got people we know for sure can fight it off faster.

We've also got people who've gone out into bigger cities now as well. The chances of infection spreading are infinitely worse.

Have we begun notifying our friends who have left that they ought to return as soon as possible?

They're already on their way back. We've been keeping in touch.

And not likely, but we're going to try contacting the Center for Disease Control to alert them to the situation.

I was in New York just long enough to guarantee our portal exit was functioning. Back in under a minute. We were originally going to send through myself and the other two Magicians from my world, as well as a couple helping hands, but with this latest development we are only sending the Magician who was not present on the space ship. He'll be getting supplies and, I believe, looking for a payphone.

And then he will return.

Most of us were indoors in the caves for it. Would that make any difference?

Obviously not for those in the town with it, but the fear of us spreading it more?

It doesn't have to be many, and I'm guessing it's an airborne virus rather than the bodily fluids or psychic kind.

Can anyone get an idea of how far that storm travelled? And what type of transmission method? I don't think they'll hear it from me. And I don't want to talk to them about why I'd think of it.

If I remember correctly it was at least 3 days, and it spread throughout the whole ship in a matter of days.
