Who: Owen and Cecilia
When: Late
Where: Sheriff's office
The day seemed to move at a snail's pace and breakneck speed all at the same time. Cecilia had been exhausted before noon, a high-functioning wreck all day, and after Juno and Marco were safe with Oliver and she'd headed home she hadn't really known what to do with herself. She'd been teeming with tension all day, and she couldn't shake it to save her life. She'd wondered if Owen would be home, but she quickly found that he wasn't. Cecilia wasn't sure how to feel about that. He hadn't reached out to her over the network all day, but then again, she hadn't to him, either. It wasn't fair to put that on him, but she still wished he would have. At the same time, she knew the ball had pretty much been in her court. She'd been the one that stormed out, after all.
Cecilia sat with Neptune for a while, finally letting herself feel at least some of what she'd been boxing up all day. Not all, but she had to get at least a little of it out of her system, lest she jump a table again at tomorrow's bullshit trial. She took a shower and cried a little, for no particular reason other than being miserable and needing to let some of it come to the surface for a few minutes. After, she'd sat on the couch with Neptune and waited for Owen to come home. She turned the TV on, but wasn't really paying attention to anything she saw. Mostly her mind was just turning over what tomorrow might be like.
The hours ticked on and Cecilia realized that Owen might not be coming home at all. He might feel the need to stay and make sure Simms didn't get out of his cell somehow, or he might just not know if she wanted to see him. She didn't think it'd be that last one, but she had to go and investigate, just to know for sure. She and Neptune set out together, and after a short walk they had reached city hall. A sign pointed towards the police department and sheriff's office, so that was where she headed.
