The hummingbird god is called Huitzilopochtli which sounds kind of familiar and he is a boy. They made human sacrifices to him because he was the god of war and the sun and he was always fighting the moon and stars and if he lost the world would end. It doesn't say if he'd get eaten though. Okay. I've given myself several weeks to get used to the idea that we now live in Texas -- complete with our loft from Central City which is.. well I don't know how it works but I'm not complaining -- and there's no telling ever if any of us would go back. So, that said, I guess it's time to start job hunting around here!

Still currently deciding between wanting to go back into reporter mode or try my hand at something else with a psych degree.

So, BLSA of Tumbleweed U got a hefty amount of coats and jackets for the coat drive. As president of the club, I just wanted to say thank you to the people who donated, whether it was the coats/outerwear themselves, or money for them. We're still accepting donations for one more week, and then the coats are being shipped out to various shelters across the country.

As of about five minutes ago, I've closed down the portal between Tumbleweed and Homewood, California. I left it open in the event anyone needed to go back for any reason. But, since it is closed now, if you find you left something behind or need to travel there, I'd suggest reaching out to someone who can teleport. I know of several in our community who've mentioned their services being available and in the event you aren't aware of them already, I'll be glad to pass on names.

And how is 2018 treating everyone thus far? Kylo and I came home yesterday but I got straight to work on my final batch of wine courtesy of Ronan Lynch's peach orchard 2017 stock. I've still got enough fruit to make a few bottles but we're well underway with the new batch. I'm also still welcoming any taste testers who would be willing. So, please, don't be shy.

How was Time Square?

A very happy new year to you, fellow displaced folks. Seeing holidays in different verses never gets old. I have to say, the celebrations here are very similar to the ones from my home verse. Except instead of a ball dropping, we ignite a large sphere of flammable material, usually organic and from local farms, and launch them at a ten-foot flotation device in the middle of the river. Fascinating stuff. Christmas, though, is pretty much the same.

Resolutions, though! Resolutions are worldwide and universal, methinks. I've got a whole list prepared for mine, starting with being more productive with a new business I'm opening up. That's right, after helping out with the West-Allen household and the Manor with their decorations, I've decided my area of expertise lie in -- drumrolls, please -- DESIGN.

That's all I've got, no name yet. I'm sure I can come up with something at some point. That's my next resolution anyway.

Also, B.A., your new abode in this place was lacking a turtle. I got you a turtle. The previous owner had named it Wartortle. Not sure what that means. But you can change it whatever you like.
