I'm kind of piggybacking on Lydia's idea here, but I thought that I might have a solution if everybody is into it.

Let's face it, considering the kind of stuff we're going to be doing around this place, no one is going to want to hear everyone else doing their business. So I think that having separate shelters a little further away from each other is a good idea, but I also agree with Lydia that it would be a waste to just take down the central shelters that we've started to build.

Shit, screw it. If she can do it, I can. Okay, so...that Malia girl seemed to have a successful go, so what the hell, right?

I'm Cameron — Cam is fine — I'm 25 and I'm a law student. I don't know how to hunt, I think I went fishing like once when I was twelve, I have no idea how to build a shelter, and if I was in charge of picking berries, I'd probably end up poisoning the lot of us.

But.

I'm 6'5", I'm strong, I'm athletic, and I like to think I'm a decent looking dude. So...with that said, I can't really offer much by way of survival in exchange (which is embarrassing to admit, but there it is), but if anybody's interested...just throwin' that out there.

...this probably will work better for a cute girl than a fucking Sasquatch dude, but I figured it was worth a shot, since it worked for her.

This place is so pretty! Look at all of the flowers, and the water is just gorgeous, I'm already so in love.

Right, okay. I'm Patty! Patty Spivot, I'm excited to be here and meet all of you! I'm not very good when it comes to the whole 'survival' thing, I've never really done that before, but I was a detective back home, and a scientist. So if any of those skills can come in handy here I'm more than willing to help. I'm not afraid of hard work either, so if anybody needs help building anything, I'm your girl!

Anyway, I'm Quinn Fabray. I needed some extracurricular activities and this is what I decided on. Kind of a bad choice considering I lack severely in the survival department thing...unless you count high school and a teenage pregnancy Vocal Adrenaline. I am a fast learner and I'm pretty physically fit from my cheerleader days. I also kick butt at singing and dancing. Just saying.

So, let's get this party started.

Well, everybody seems to be doing it and Malia passed me over already so here goes. I'm Scott. 18 from Beacon Hills. Used to play lacrosse. I was pretty much a straight C student so not much to offer there, but I'm in great physical condition. I can hunt. I'm strong. Good on defense and protection. Are we telling people about the werewolf thing? I guess you could call me an alpha type, but I'm not bossy or anything.

What the hell?!

As of this morning I have found:

- Strawberries
- Asparagus
- Squash
- Onion
- Witch Hazel
- Tomatoes
- Mountain Ash
- Peppers
- Garlic
- Black Cherry

Also I'm sure we've all noticed the fruit trees. But as for the plans, I'm going to start looking for a location for a community garden, and probably building some sort of fence to keep out animals? Obviously this will take some time and housing probably comes first, but any volunteers to help?

Well, that's not really how I wanted to start my morning, but all right. Shake it off, put your game face on. Time to learn how to take care of yourself like a big girl, Lyds. Hey...so, did you still want to show me how to catch a fish?

Since it seems like many of us aren't being shy about our intentions on accepting our strange invitation and I've never been one to shy from joining clubs, suppose I'll give the personal ad buisness a whirl.

Hello boys, girls and whomever else might be on this lovely bit of semi-paradise, my name's Mandy. I'm 27 which seems like it might be absolutely ancient, I think the last time I spent any appreciable time outdoors before this was at a music festival, which I think might have had a more atrocious plumbing situation. I haven't had any sort of career to speak of, and I'm afraid I'm not particularly strong or intelligent any of that, but I do fancy myself relatively observant and quite good at recognising subtle differences in shades and patterns, which might come in handy for...discerning an edible plant from one that's much less so?

Oh, and,as I know some people have ridiculous hang ups around it and I forgot to do something about my blasted ring, I am recently divorced for anyone who happens to give a damn about the sanctity of certain institutions.

So, quick question: if one wakes up in the middle of the jungle, how might one navigate to the place where most people are settling...?

The food storage containment is finished, thanks to a lot of help from others. If you find food you can put it in there, it's right outside of the main group of shelters that have been built. Sara is awesome and she's thinking about making a smokehouse, so I suggest if you find something, clean it and smoke it first. It'll last longer.

I've made fishing traps by the shore for those of you who aren't great hunters. It's a large group of rocks in a v formation in the water, when the tide comes in so do the fish and when it goes out they get trapped behind the rock wall so they'll be easier to catch, since they'll be in a confined space. So if you see stones lined up by the water, do me a favor and don't move them.

We should seriously consider building some loft beds. It'll be complicated and we'll have to find strong enough wood, but we shouldn't be sleeping on the ground no matter where our shelters are. Snakes, bugs, all that fun stuff, are best avoided. If I'm coming off as bossy tell me, that's not what I'm trying to do, I just want to help. If anyone needs anything I just finished with those fishing traps so I'm available!

Has anyone else noticed someone who looks exaclty like someone from home, but then they claim to be someone completely different? Because this has happened to me twice now.
