It's...different. There's always been the thought that an island is the last place I would want to end up again. Memories have a way of coming back. There's no Yao Fei here, though...and I'm not some shipwrecked kid.

That said, what I do have to offer are survival skills. This kind of place, it's like going home.

The most brilliant collection of medical supplies has appeared in the triage tent, along with the ability for me to take notes on all my patients. Once I have everything set up I would like to ask all the women that are pregnant to stop by the triage area. I will be conducting blood tests to ensure there are no anomalies in your blood.

I'll be starting medical charts for all residents so we will need to run a complete panel on everyone. Do not worry, all information is confidential and will remain private and secure.

All right, so through some trial and error, I've figured out how to make a few basic clothing pieces using the sewing machine we got last week. It's far from haute couture, but for the people who haven't gotten extra outfits from the gods, or even the people who have and just want some more options, I'm hanging out in the main camp area today showing Briseis how to use the sewing machine, so if you want to place an order for some clothes, swing by and we'll get you measured.

I can make tank tops, t-shirts, boxer shorts, and skirts. We don't have a lot of options in terms of fabric, but you can pick your colors. [ETA] The colors available are: white, brown, gray, black, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple

Since I don't have paper to keep notes, if you can reply here with what you'd like, then I'll send you a private message with your measurements after you stop by so everything is in one place. And anyone else who wants to help with measuring or cutting fabric or anything, please let me know. I'm definitely willing to teach anyone who wants to learn. I figure we can get an assembly line kind of thing going where some people measure and cut the fabric pieces while someone else works the sewing machine.

I've got an idea that I wanted to run by the both of you. Considering the fact that we are the resident physicians on the island I was thinking that it might be a good idea to get records started on all the patients that we'll have. This way we can track the general health of the population, along with pregnancies and what not.

I think, however, we'll need to find someplace secure to keep this information as some people might be sensitive about what others may or may not find out. I'd like to put together a general health history survey for everyone to fill out as a start.

I didn't even bother looking to see if we have paper and folders around for such an endeavor. Regardless, I do think this is something we need to do.

You know, if I wasn't so good at working with what I've got, I might be a bit put out that I haven't been included in the bed-getting yet. Guess the gods don't think I need the beauty sleep anymore.

The razors are appreciated though, I haven't had a mustache since the 70s and in retrospect that was almost more regrettable than the mutton chops. And if anyone who wasn't quite so lucky needs a good shampoo and condition, I think I've got enough to spare for awhile.

Have we figured out how to roast those coffee beans yet? I woke up to find a coffee pot with grinder in my shelter. Obviously, I'm willing to share.

Hi. I know you don't know me but my name is Isaac Lahey, and this probably doesn't mean much but I just want to apologize earlier for the rocky arrival. I'm sure people have said it before but just know that none of us would ever let anything happen to you. I can't justify what Malia said and honestly I'm not even going to try to because I'm so tired of doing that but I can say that I really do feel awful that you had to deal with that as soon as you got here.

You're new and I'm sure you need a shelter, so if no one has offered I'd like to help you build one for yourself. I'll tell you now, I'm the one having the baby with Malia, so if you're uncomfortable being around me or taking help I completely understand and I can give you some names of people who would be able to help you that you may be more comfortable working with.

I'm Barry, for those of you that I haven't met yet. I'm 27 and back home I worked as a CSI for the Central City Police Department. I'm also a superhero who doesn't feel very heroic these days. The whole casual sex thing is kind of new for me. So, would anyone be interested in maybe getting together?

It feels like a proper holiday, doesn't it? With the bluest of skies and the warm water washing up around my feet. I know it's not. We've got work to do, a civilization to help build. And if there's anything that gets my sense of adventure going it's the prospect of saving the world.

Right then, first things first - is there a medical facility set up already on the island? If not that will be one of my first priorities other than meeting everyone, that is.
