Hey, good thing I built a closet in our cabin, because it's suddenly full of clothes this morning!

Did anyone else get any goodies from the gods?

The other day when Felicity was talking about making a calendar, it got me thinking...

We're not on earth, right? The stars are different, so we seem to be on another planet.
If we're on another planet, do we even know how long a year is? It's probably not exactly the same.

I propose a project to track the sun and find out how many days a year is here. We can also try to figure out when the solstices and equinoxes are.

I'm going to need some help, especially from someone with more of a math and science background. I can do the observations, but the calculations are probably way beyond me.

Any volunteers?

How big is this island? How far has anyone gone walking around it? I was considering taking an expedition. An exploratory one, of course. I have no use for looking for ways off or other people outside of our community, however I have grown a bit tired of the same path and sights day in and day out.

I miss college football. More specifically I miss watching college football. People accused me of needing an exorcism while watching a Hoosiers game. I don't know what they're talking about.

I'm pleased to announce that I am pregnant. Jim Kirk is the father. We will be giving the baby to Arva.

I also received a gift today - several bolts of different fabrics, including some satins, silks, jersey knit, denim, and even a small bolt of brocade. The gods know my taste, apparently. If you would like some fabric, please let me know. I can also incorporate it into a garment if you would like.

I'll be having to make some new clothes for myself soon anyway.

Christopher Allen Chapel was born early this morning at the Medical Center. We're both fine and if anyone wants to stop by and meet him, we're at home. He's pretty damn amazing.

Clark needs to stop growing! I already need new clothes for him. Sheesh!

What the hell is going on out there?

Well hello ladies... and gentlemen too, no one should forget any of you.

It's quite the lovely Island you've got here, love what you've done with the... palm trees. Very free form. I suppose hoping for a fully stocked bar is asking too much. That's fine, we'll work on it.

In the mean time, I am Tony Stark, most of you probably know me. If you don't, you will. It's a pleasure to meet all of you, until it isn't, and then we'll work through it. Though I'm certain we'll all get along splendidly.

We're going to start working on the dorm-style building project today. Who wants to help?

Also, just so we have a general head count, how many people will actually want to live there on a regular basis?

I've felt the influence of divine all my life; there is ichor from the Sky King himself in my veins and my own brothers adorn the night sky. I have been to the bed of a son of Poseidon and felt Cytherea's claws hooked deep in my ragged heart. Mighty are the gods, then, who rule this isle and whose limits outstrip Olympus.

What offerings do they require and where are their temples? Were I given lend of a bow I could bring down a bull for sacrifice at the altars.

Our cabin just got even more awesome. We now have a working bathroom with a tub/shower, toilet and sink. Plus we got a couch and a chair for the living room.

I woke up this morning in a bed. A real bed! And I have a beautiful clawfoot bathtub with running water and a stove that works. I feel as though I'm inching slowly closer back towards civilization. The gods must have been listening. I can think more seriously about getting pregnant now.

Now I need my own tea kettle and I'll be right as rain.

So, I've gotta say this place is pretty great.

I've really been enjoying myself since I got here. It's kinda great to find a place where nobody judges you or shames you for enjoying your body.

I have some big news! Before she left, Lagertha taught me how to make cheese. I've been working on it and the first couple of times, it didn't turn out that well but this time I got it right so we have fresh goat cheese in the frig in the Community Center if anybody wants some. Pepper, I will personally make you a grilled goat cheese sandwich if you still want one.

Also, do any of the docs know anything about goats? One of them is acting strange. She's usually really gentle but today she tried to kick me when I went to mil her. So any ideas about why we suddenly have a bitchy goat?
