As of yet, I have no symptoms of pregnancy. I suppose this is typical so far, as it's only been a week since conception.

I'm keeping a journal, and I hope it will help future women on this island to know what to expect.

I'd like to compare my experiences to your own, if you wouldn't mind.

As of last night, I have joined Miss Martin and Miss Tate in doing my part in contributing to the growing population of the island. It isn't quite accurate to say that I am pregnant, as I assume that even here implantation must take at least several days, but I did conceive a child last night.

I think this will be a fascinating experience and I intend to document closely how it progresses.

I would like to have a child with you.

I've got an idea that I wanted to run by the both of you. Considering the fact that we are the resident physicians on the island I was thinking that it might be a good idea to get records started on all the patients that we'll have. This way we can track the general health of the population, along with pregnancies and what not.

I think, however, we'll need to find someplace secure to keep this information as some people might be sensitive about what others may or may not find out. I'd like to put together a general health history survey for everyone to fill out as a start.

I didn't even bother looking to see if we have paper and folders around for such an endeavor. Regardless, I do think this is something we need to do.

A few days ago, we had a rather lovely discussion on whether people would prefer casual sex or a more committed sort of relationship. The results seemed to me to be mostly mixed. Let me add this - do most of you believe that a more committed relationship is important if you are planning to have a child, or does it matter if you plan to give the infant to Arva in the end?

I wasn't sure what to expect from this place. I'm not one to trust people who tell me I can get away to paradise just like that. But here I am, I guess. I think I can dig this minimalist vibe. I even get to build my own shelter. That's different.

I have never been one for casual, random sex before, but I am starting to see the appeal. It is rather nice to simply be able to enjoy yourself without having to worry about commitment or emotions. And it also seems a rather nice way to get to know someone.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who very much enjoyed the bonfire last night. There were so many stories about so many worlds that I wished I could be listening to everyone at the same time. I thought it was a fantastic way for us to get to know each other, and I want to thank Finnick for helping to organize it. It was a great success.

I think it is important for us to do everything we can to bring ourselves together as a community. This is our chance to start over and do things right, and getting to know each other and our various skills is invaluable for that.

Hello all. I am Dr. Martha Jones. I've just arrived on the island.

It feels like a proper holiday, doesn't it? With the bluest of skies and the warm water washing up around my feet. I know it's not. We've got work to do, a civilization to help build. And if there's anything that gets my sense of adventure going it's the prospect of saving the world.

Right then, first things first - is there a medical facility set up already on the island? If not that will be one of my first priorities other than meeting everyone, that is.

As a follow-up to my previous post, and with the help of the island's abundant vegetation, I have been able to create a rough diagram that I think will be useful for tracking children. It is very simple at the moment, but I have many ideas on how to improve it when it becomes necessary.

You can see the diagram here. As we only have two pregnancies at the moment, there is very little to it, but I am sure it will increase in complexity as we are here longer.

I do hope you will not be shy to share pregnancies, as it is entirely for the good of the island to know who is related to whom.

Is anyone well-versed on the emotional effects of having multiple sex partners? I'm very curious, and wondering if we will start to skew towards Monogamy in this place, or if there is a way to dampen normal human jealousy.

Does anyone here have experience constructing bear bags? It might be wise to make sure that all of our perishable supplies are put away every night so that the bears are not drawn closer into camp.

There have been a lot of posts with people introducing themselves and talking about how they can contribute to our new society, but I was thinking it might be a good idea to create some sort of central database of information. Just so we know who all is here and can ensure everyone is accounted for and also know who might be best to ask for help on various projects.

I'd be happy to compile that information if you all think it would be useful.
