Only five more days of classes left, a Hogsmeade trip, and then its the holidays and my birthday. I can't wait for a little break from NEWTs preparation and more time with my brother. We've decided that we are going to be staying at the school instead of going home this year. Who else is going to be staying? Who is all going home? As all of you have notice we are unable to do magic. Please don't worry as this was a mere accident and not an attack. We have our best working on the issue and we are hoping everything will return to normal soon. So please stay calm and think of this as a teaching moment: what would you do if you are unable to do magic anymore?

One last thing. There is a new rule being put into place. Muggle technology or experimenting with it are forbidden on school grounds.

Well, students, I'm not entirely sure what's going on but let's not see this as a loss of magical ability but a gain of an opportunity! It's so rare for us as magic users, especially those of us that live in the magical world full time, to get an opportunity to experience the non-magical side of things. Relish this chance to learn something new about this world that we live in!

My class will be unaffected and will go on, as planned, for all levels. An integral part of defending against the Dark Arts is knowing how to defend. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move around in, and if you have any medical conditions that would prevent you from some light exercise, or previous injuries that might be aggravated by moving around, please let me know.

Welp, I managed to finish Abacus's Halloween costume today. It's amazing what a person can do with felt when given a chance. I saw a pretty picture of this gorgeous lion and got inspired. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to go as. Maybe I should do a lion as well or something else fun. I always end up picking two costumes though because I can never decide what I am until the day of. Bahhhh.
