Ravenclaws we will do better next time. We aren't out of the running just yet. We can still kick but and beat Gryffindor and Slytherin. Good game Hufflepuff but the Cup will be ours.

Only five more days of classes left, a Hogsmeade trip, and then its the holidays and my birthday. I can't wait for a little break from NEWTs preparation and more time with my brother. We've decided that we are going to be staying at the school instead of going home this year. Who else is going to be staying? Who is all going home? What are some of your traditions that you are looking forward to?

So, these breeches are a little more, well... snug, then I had envisioned. I never thought I'd have to ask this of the general populace, but does anyone have any ideas for make my unmentionables less prominent? It is the privilege of men to be wanted and prized for what they can do, create, achieve. Women, through time, are prized for being pretty, petite, pliable, and submissive. We are recognized not for who we are, how smart we are, how powerful we are, but for what designers we wear and who we have married. It is enough to make me wonder sometimes how I, and those around me, will fit in the world where intelligent and capable women are so often put down, negated, spoken over and ignored. The top of the chain is white, male, heterosexual and cisgender. Where is the place for the rest of us, and when will intelligence be enough?

In the same vein, when will it be okay for males to be weak? Why can they not show real emotion without being labeled and ignored? Why can we just not all find an accord?


Sexy Halloween costumes just continue this oppression - seeking attention for our bodies and not our minds. I hope some outside of me will seek out more unique and interesting themes than sexy animals and such. We are so much more.

Welp, I managed to finish Abacus's Halloween costume today. It's amazing what a person can do with felt when given a chance. I saw a pretty picture of this gorgeous lion and got inspired. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to go as. Maybe I should do a lion as well or something else fun. I always end up picking two costumes though because I can never decide what I am until the day of. Bahhhh.

I wonder what the world would be like if animals could talk. Instead of saying meow, Dinah would say "hello" when she saw me. And I could talk to her like I do everyone else. They already understand us obviously. I talk to Dinah all the time and she always replies, and I understand her but it would be so much more interesting if we could speak to each other properly. But given that animagi can't speak properly in animal form, I don't suppose there is much hope for Dinah.

So, it's not usually my thing, but since one of my close friends and my brother are both going to be there, I guess I should recommend that everyone goes to my mom's gallery sometime this week because even if I find it endlessly boring because I can't run around or anything, it is seriously pretty cool and my mom even roped in a musician for the evenings. Well, the good news is that I am officially unemployed! The better news is that I can now spend my time hanging out at the lake house of a very pretty, very nice girl! The not so great news is that I am sunburned. I didn't know I could get sunburned. This is good information to know, I suppose, but still, it is painfully gained information.

And the possibly not so great news is that Papa is coming home earlier than I thought so I may have to leave early and go get yelled at.

Anyway, the worst news of all is that my sleeping schedule is even more fucked up than normal and I can't sleep. Someone want to come knock me out and put me out of my misery?

I see that there are a lot of mixed feelings about the journals but I don't mind them. It IS a great way to keep in touch with everyone and reading some of the conversations going on is rather entertaining. I'm interested in seeing if the journals can be set on fire or become drunk. And if they can't, can the beast the journal turns into become drunk or burned?

I'm heading to my family's cabin that is on the edge of Marble Lake this weekend because my father is going to be home and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me? The place is huge and right on the water's edge. Nico, are you going to come out?

Well I was supposed to get off of my shift at 7 but boss just came by to tell me that my relief called in sick so I'm working until three, and I "don't sleep anyway so why does it matter". I mean it's true but, the principle of the matter is what's important here. Also do you know how dead a McDo gets at 2am, even in New York? All I have to do is...I don't have anything to do, my phone is dead and I just happened to grab this thing because it was making noises at me and even Mama and her Valium couldn't sleep through that. Someone come entertain me or I will start drawing dicks.

...how long will it take me to get fired if I start drawing dicks on all of the hamburgers? Just a rough estimate?
