Day 60.

Weather: It's still snowing, and the winds and drifts have created a total whiteout.

Events: The house is well and truly fucked snowed in. By morning there is over five feet of snow, and the storm hasn't stopped. Five feet. The shortest people in the house are merely two inches taller than the mess outside.

Okay, perhaps it's not 100% accurate to say they're entirely snowed in. The ground floor is most certainly snowed in, with drifts covering all doors and at least partially covering all windows. Someone could fight a way out -- but why on earth would you want to? If you absolutely, positively must get outside, they might actually have a better time dropping down from a second floor window. The glass doors to the second door patio are well buried, but someone could drop down onto a bit of roofing in other parts of the house if necessary.

If you're not counting the fearsome howls of wind, it's actually a pretty quiet day. Yesterday was a pretty busy and eventful day for the actual subjects, and perhaps TPTB are content to sit back and see how the scenario plays out.

Or perhaps they were just really, super busy building a goddamn batcave.

At six AM, each member of Experiment B gets a message on their computer, informing them how to get to their new safehouse. In Simms' case, he will receive his instructions once he is alone, or in 'safe' company.

For Daphne, Madison, Damon, Audrey, Lila, and Felix, their way in is through a trap-door in the floor of their respective closets. They are all undetectable when closed, and will open only when the subject's bedroom door is locked, and while they are alone or only in the company of other members of Experiment B. They must speak the password, Sinon, and the trap door will audibly unlock and reveal itself.

All of their passageways are winding and narrow, requiring a short amount of crawling before they finally reach a descending tunnel and ladder. Their climb is considerably longer than Simms', and there are several large ledges built into the opposite wall where they can sit and rest if need be. Eventually they all merge into a tunnel, which eventually stops at two steel doors. One leads to Simms' passageway, and that cannot be opened by another member of Experiment B. It will only open for him. The other requires speaking a second pass-phrase, open the gates, and the door will open.

For Simms, he will simply be informed that a new passageway has opened up in his already existent tunnel. The ladder he inevitably reaches now descends into another tunnel. He climbs down about thirty feet, and will come to a landing with a steel door. Here he need only say the password, Sinon, and it will open for him, merging with the other pathways.

The members of ExB will find TPTB took them a bit literal with all their 'batcave' jokes. The door opens up into a series of rooms that appear to actually be built into cave walls. The entrance parlor offers a few sectionals, and in the rear of the room they will find several pantries stocked with non-perishables. Their 'batcave' also features a small kitchen, sleeping quarters (complete with a locker for each member of the group, and combination locks they may set themselves), a bathroom, and a pretty intense viewing room. This last room features a 72-inch television with access to the feeds, which can be changed via a remote control. There is also a desk with computer, printer, and scanner.

It's good to be bad, I guess.
