Something has occurred to me, given that according to my records, June (Earth month) is coming soon. My birthday is on June 6th. Which means... party time. I also realize -- this will be my first birthday in this new galaxy.

It's still painful to look up at the sky and not see the familiar pinpoints of light that were the Hosnian System. To know the death of a dear friend spared me from my own in that very system.

The Republic is stretched far too thin and all I see these days are complaints. Dismissals. The Republic for all its good seems to have burned into nothing more than a frustrated sigh on the lips of those who it sought to do the most good for. It begs the question: how do you move forward when there is so little left to move?

I really can't deal with anything else right now.

A play date shall have to be arranged. My daughter has returned with me.

I'm not really sure what happened or how, but I think I ended up back home for awhile. Things have changed a lot for me, most of this doesn't seem so strange anymore. But, I saw a possible future in my world, one where a lot changed especially the people I care about. I can't help but think that maybe that happens because I never make it back home again.

I guess this is better getting stuck here again then 1958, the way people had to live back then. How did anyone ever do it?

That was...odd.

I have been thinking about war. It is hard not to when everyone around is also thinking about war, or planning for it one way or another.

I have only seen a small part of this galaxy, and only traveled a little. But I already know that the map is not the territory in some very important ways. Sometimes it takes a long time to get somewhere close, or a short time to get somewhere far away, because of the way the stars are arranged and the way that the routes must go.

And this, this unexpectedness between map and reality, it makes me wonder:

What is war like in this galaxy?

I have seen wars that were fought street to street, with guns or with missiles or with tanks. I have seen planes flying to battle, seen explosions far up in the sky. I have abandoned homes in ruins, and half starved when food was unable to arrive on roads that have been destroyed or that are guarded by enemies. I have run from snipers and taken long detours through basements and tunnels propped up with beams from the ruins above, where the bullets cannot penetrate. I have seen all this and more. I have fought

That is war, where I come from.

But I understand that the strategies change with the weapons that are used, offense and defense in a perpetual race. Or perhaps I should say offense and defense and the people just trying to avoid getting killed.

It is hard for me to imagine war in this galaxy.

Do battles take place in space, where there is room to maneuver? Perhaps the one who holds the space around planets holds everything? But space is a cold and dead place, so perhaps space doesn't matter so much as planetary support and control on the ground?

Is there such a thing as a front, in a galactic war? Do armies (navies? space navies?) advance across the galaxy like a wave, or do they more usually jump from place to place in more unexpected ways? Do you expect surprises, or slow grinding advances that cannot be stopped?

...I assume that destroying planets is not ordinary.

Is there anything else to look out for, in war as it is practiced here?

I suggest everyone be cautious of Exar Kun. He is dangerous. I cannot tell if he has fully embraced the Dark Side before coming here, but when he did, he tried to turn my husband's apprentices against him. Luke nearly died from the injuries Exar or rather Kyp Durron, with Exar driving him to the Dark Side,inflicted before he was finally banished.

I can't lie, I've been getting restless lately. But at the same time, I have no idea where to go if I did leave Naboo.

How are you two holding up? I wanted to talk to you both about maybe setting up some sort of base for us. I'm not going to call it Team Arrow, but... you know what I'm talking about.

So, right. Are there any priests around here or anyone know where I can get some actual holy water? Preferably priests from Earth, but only because I have no idea if any local type of holy water will be of use to me.

Knowing that there are different realms is one thing. Knowing someone who's actually traveled between realms is another. Actually doing it yourself is something else completely. Some friends have said inter-dimensional travel is, theoretically, possible, but I don't know if any of us actually expected it to happen.

Hello. I'm Steve Rogers, and I just got here. This is my first time on another planet besides the one I was born on, so it's going to take some getting used to. On Earth, I was an Av an artist and a soldier, among other things. Guess I'll have to figure out how my skills fit in here. Any advice that people who've been here longer could give would be appreciated.

Sitting around like this isn't something I can do indefinitely. If I can't get back to Star City on my own and if the people here can't do it, I need to know where I can go to look for someone who might have some answers.
