Your mother and I have both been here for a few weeks, absorbing the information we've been given about our future. She and I come from long before Vader. It's impossible to believe that I could have- There were moments when we would have liked to have contacted you sooner, but it's been hard for us to accept that things could ever go so wrong. We've come to terms with it the best we can for now.

I wasn't sure how to approach you, especially given your history with what I become. Even so, your mother and I would like to talk to you, get to know you. We understand this is sensitive to say the least, and may be hard for you both.

Neither of us are interested in rushing a personal relationship with you, but we realize that our presence has the potential to make waves in your current political situation. Currently only Obi-Wan and Padme's elderly sister know that we are here and some days it's questionable if that's true for Sola. We thought at the very least we should get your input as to how to proceed.
