( Read more... )All these years later and Halloween was still her favourite holiday in the wizarding world. Penny loved the contrast between the muggle world with its stereotypical pointy hats, black cats and hooked noses complete with warts to denote witches and magical folk to those who knew the real magic of the wizarding world and dressed up as its own folklore. On her way back from work, Penny would have sworn she’d seen a babbling cauldron.
With an unplottable location shielding her from everyday guisers, the muggle world she knew so well would have to be kept separate for just a little longer. Penny was expecting her own guests; people she trusted implicitly and whose arrival was the cause for the soft smile playing on her features as she bustled around and set out a bowl full of sweeties nestled beside shiny apples.
Music was on low, jeans settled on her hips and over bare feet as Penny reached for one of the red fruit, able to resist taking a satisfying bite as she lounged against the kitchen counter and waited for them to arrive. Curious to see what the pair looked like and if Lucy had managed to sweet-talk her father into a costume of his own.
Fingers crossed that it was something that involved the Falcons. Now
that would be a wager worth winning…
