Treating a werewolf? Talk about a trial by fire...

[info]dr_todd
[info]btvsal
Who: Dr. Elizabeth Todd, open to all members of her "secret" team
Where: LAGH
When: Backdated to Saturday night

Talk about sheer, unadulterated CHAOS.

Wesley had called Elizabeth, in what (for Wesley, at least) amounted to a panic, saying that a very important, very public figure in both the regular AND supernatural community had been severely wounded, and needed her help. Quickly, Liz grabbed Carly McDonald, the one person she knew that had real experience treating supernatural beings (and the one who would be teaching the rest of them), and sent her to the scene for damage control. In the meantime, while she waited for Carly to get back with Ben in the ambulance, she ran to gather her team.

A few of them, like Jacob and Claudia, had already had a good idea what they were getting into. The others, like Danny, had more or less been told that something major, and top secret, was going on... and that if they wanted in on something huge, they had to trust her, be open-minded, and say NOTHING.

And now? As Carly swiftly rushed the gurney which Ben's unconcious form layed upon into the OR that Liz had reserved, Dr. Todd looked at the team that had managed to come together in here.

"Alright, people, I only have time to say this ONCE, and until this is over, you'll have to take everything I say as gospel. The moment our patient is out of danger, I will answer any questions: This is Benjamin Kenneth Bale. Most of you know him as a highly public owner of two local clubs, and a music promoter. He is also a lycanthrope, a human being who can, at will, change his form to that of a wolf, and a half-man, half-wolf beast. As you can see, victim is suffering from a GSW to the back, as well as having fifteen silver spikes stabbed into various organs of his body."

She began removing Ben's clothing as she spoke, to inspect the wounds.

"Looks to be possibly severe damage to the lungs, kidneys,  liver, gallbladder, and the tendons in his biceps & thighs. Luckily, his heart was totally missed. Dr. McDonald has already treated him a salve that will restart his rengererative system, which in lycanthropes is approximately fifteen to twenty times that of a normal human."

As Liz addressed the team, Carly began applying several types of medication that, frankly, not ONE of them had ever seen nor heard of, while Liz began helping apply pressure to the wounds.

"You are all here to observe. Because we need you. People like Mr. Bale here need to recieve care as well, as do people like us that are victims of supernatural attacks. Dr. McDonald is working on getting us government clearance to do this as well, so that we won't have to work as some secret society. But I trust each one of you with this. And we need to be a team here."

Recruiting...

[info]btvsal
Who: Ash, OT Marlowe
Where: wesley's place
When: Tuesday morning

Why Mr. Giles decided he trusted Ash so much, the boy would never know. He suspected it was a mix of all he'd done in Salacia, and perhaps seeing a bit of himself in the young warlock.

But this new project showed that not only did Giles trust Ash... but he also knew how dangerous the boy could be. And Ash knew that he knew others who could be just as dangerous. Thus? His reason for being here at Wesley's house. But he wasn't here to see Gwen today. No... his target for today was a certain spunky firestarter.

Ringing the doorbell, he prayed the girl was home.

WHO: Xander, OT anyone
WHEN: Tuesday night
WHERE: Between Shooting Star and the Marchese apartment

Xander didn't notice at first that he was being followed. Leaving work, he'd started hoofing the few blocks between the comic shop and the place where he was staying, thinking about work and about Janie and not really paying much attention. It was a little dark and a little quiet; not much foot-traffic on a weekday night.

As he turned a corner, the mailbox he'd just passed erupted in flames. Xander spun and fell to the ground, the heat from the smoldering remains of the mailbox singing the hair on his arms. He managed to stand up and he saw a silhouette near the far end of the block pointing something at him ...

He managed to throw himself ungracefully to the sidewalk as a thin red beam passed through the air which had been occupied by his torso only moments ago. He scooted around the corner of the building and put his back to it, his hear pounding, his eyes stinging with the smoke. He patted his pockets, wishing he had a cell phone or ...

He had a laser gun.

Janie had showed him where the power button was. He pressed it, and a little red LED blinked near the handle.

He stood, his back still against the wall, holding the gun pointing upwards, looking to his left.

He pivoted and pointed the gun at ... a deserted street.

"Huh," he said.

Who: Gwen, open to all
Where: Avarice
When: Monday night

This all seemed so damned surreal to Gwen, this whole thing with Ben being attacked. Had she had private little fantasies about destroying him? Of course. But she'd never actually DO it.  To think that someone had actually tried to take him out, well... didn't say a lot about the kind of person he really was, did it?

Bah. No more thinking about that for now, the Slayer thought. She'd come out to dance tonight, figuring that, in honesty, it wasnt like she was going to run into Ben OR Skylar here.

For now, she was out there on the dance floor, grooving to the tunes, and trying to feel normal again. She was wearing a pink plaid schoolgirl skirt, with white fishnets, a pair of black combat boots that went all the way up to her knees, and a tight black Dream Theater tanktop, her blonde hair now bearing a few jet black streaks in it.

Was she ok? No. But was she going to let it show? Oh HELL no.

[info]btvsal
Who: Grant, OT Bronte
Where: Insane Lanes Bowling Alley
When: Monday night

While at first glance, Grant Kellerman looked like a stuffy, shirt-and-tie-guy, he was a big kid at heart, and loved to have fun. So when he heard what had happened to his business partner, Benjamin Bale, well... considering how much he adored Ben's sister Bronte, he knew he had to do something to get the girl's mind off of her brother for a while.

And when you're a big kid like Grant was, and you need a distraction, where do you go?

DAMN RIGHT. A huge-ass bowling alley, with a built-in arcade.

Clad in a brown suit with a shockingly pink tie, he took his younger date's hand, practically pulling her in after him.

"C'mon, Bronte. Seriously, you're gonna LOVE it here. Besides, you'll get to see my mad electronic hoops skills. Women have been known to faint in the presence of my sheer awesomeness."

Long Time, No See

[info]btvsal
Who: Ivy and Gunn(OT Continuation)
When: Sunday, Early Evening, November 8
Where: The Bowman's Club

Ivy was just getting ready to close the archer's club for the night. Most who used the facility on Sundays had already cleared out and were most likely well on their way home by the time the dark haired owner starting making her rounds to make sure no stragglers lingered behind, though it always seemed that one or two managed to remain behind until they were ushered out into the night so the place could be locked up and Ivy could head upstairs to her loft to enjoy a long soak in a hot tub and a good book.

Having herded a lone straggler out and locked the front door Ivy had just turned to head toward the back of the place to extinguish the interior lights when a sudden knock on the glass panel of the front door had the owner turning around with a smile lighting her face when she spied a familiar face through the clear glass.

Gunn hadn’t had the chance to come and see Ivy yet, but he had certainly wanted to. Of course, getting away for more than thirty minutes took some finagling, but he had managed it for the night. When he arrived at The Bowman’s Club, he walked up to the front door and knocked, smiling back at her when she turned and looked at him. It had been way too long.
