Long Time, No See
Who: Ivy and Gunn(OT Continuation)
When: Sunday, Early Evening, November 8
Where: The Bowman's Club
Ivy was just getting ready to close the archer's club for the night. Most who used the facility on Sundays had already cleared out and were most likely well on their way home by the time the dark haired owner starting making her rounds to make sure no stragglers lingered behind, though it always seemed that one or two managed to remain behind until they were ushered out into the night so the place could be locked up and Ivy could head upstairs to her loft to enjoy a long soak in a hot tub and a good book.
Having herded a lone straggler out and locked the front door Ivy had just turned to head toward the back of the place to extinguish the interior lights when a sudden knock on the glass panel of the front door had the owner turning around with a smile lighting her face when she spied a familiar face through the clear glass.
Gunn hadn’t had the chance to come and see Ivy yet, but he had certainly wanted to. Of course, getting away for more than thirty minutes took some finagling, but he had managed it for the night. When he arrived at The Bowman’s Club, he walked up to the front door and knocked, smiling back at her when she turned and looked at him. It had been way too long.
"Well, well. Hey there stranger." Ivy greeted the guy with that same smile after she had unlocked and opened the to let him inside. It had been a bit since she had last seen the guy and seeing him standing on the other side of the door had been a welcome sight.
“Hey,” Gunn says as she lets him in. “Long time, no see.” Not really anyone’s fault in that, just the truth. Of course, both of them had obviously been busy. Her with this place, him with trying to keep the streets just a little bit safer. Well, he tried his damnedest to do so, but it only seemed to have mixed results.
"So, is this a random social visit or might you be needing some company out in the streets." Ivy inquired casually closing, and then relocking, the door once Gunn entered the building. Not that she'd mind either, Gunn was always welcome company and it had been a while since she joined the man and his crew out on the streets to try and keep the city just a little bit safer.
“Well, I’d never turn down any help, but this is more social than anything else,” Gunn answered honestly. Sure, they could always use a little help out there. But that wasn’t what this visit was supposed to be about. “How’s business going lately?”
"Gotta a couple beers chilling in the cold box upstairs." Ivy offered walking them toward the back where private access to her loft apartment was. "Business is pretty level at the moment, but it'll pick up as it usually does around this time of the year." The brunette told the guy.
"That sounds like a fantastic offer, actually," Gunn said. "So, do people like to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow around Christmas time to hook them a reindeer or something?" A sad attempt at a joke.
Ivy rolled her eyes at the lame attempt at a joke by Gunn, but the girl gave him a grin for his effort. "Most that come here learn to use the bow and arrow as recreational tool. And no animals are harmed in the learning process." Ivy said giving a little bit of teasing back to the guy as she led him up to her sparsely furnished loft.
