Who: Jack and Louise
Where: Eden
When: Tuesday Night

His daughter was going into a battle that she might not come back from. The two of them had talked earlier tonight. He had finally been able to tell her about Louise. It took him a while to come up with the right words. How do you tell someone that her mother, whom she thought had just taken off, had actually become a vampire and had fled because she felt that she would put them in danger from herself.

Mere hadn't exactly taken it well. He didn't expect her to do so. He hoped that her and Louise didn't run into each other before she had the chance to calm down and accept it. That might not end well. It probably wouldn't end well at all.

Tonight, she was out, probably dealing with the fact that this might be her last night on earth. She wasn't with Ben anymore, that much he knew. However, he hoped that she spent the night with someone. A friend, a person at a bar, anyone. She didn't need to be alone tonight.

He was alone tonight, though. Not that he was going to be fighting in some battle in the morning. He hadn't told anyone else anything about Louise yet. Telling Mere had been bad enough. He had no idea how to tell anyone else yet. Besides, he didn't want any of the others to get the wrong idea. Right now he just wanted to have...well, about a dozen or so beers. Anything to make the thoughts in his head shut the hell up for a while.

One for the road

Who: Knox OT Max
Where: Outside Max's place
When: Tuesday night

There was some kind of irony here, of that Knox was pretty damn sure. Thing was, he couldn't figure it out. That, or he was too buzzed to give it too much thought. The meeting he'd dropped in on this morning had been brief. Maybe it was supposed to be some kind of pep talk or maybe it was just supposed to give them something to fight for, he didn't have much to make of it. If tomorrow came and it was the end, so be it. There wasn't much he'd be missing out on and at least he'd go out doing something he was good at.

The old British guy had advised them all to go out and live as if it was their last day. It wasn't much different from the way Knox lived most of his days. There were no moments to be seized, no tearful, heartfelt goodbyes to be made. His affairs were in order. His apartment was clean. That was about the best he could offer.

Instead of doing anything crazy, he'd gone out and picked up a couple of new weapons. The little blonde, Ami, had specifically said no guns. Cramped his style a bit, but he was no stranger to close-range combat. After that, he'd gone for a run to work off his excess energy, boxed a few rounds at the sparring ring downtown, and now here he was. Sitting outside the kid's place with a twelve-pack propped upright between his knees. He was on his second beer. Why had he come to Max's? Knox wasn't sure. She was a sweet kid. Sticky fingers, but sweet. She reminded him of his past and maybe that was why he was here. Tell her goodbye, good luck, whatever words would come out at the time.

Everyone needs someone to talk to...

[info]btvsal
Who: Elizabeth and Wesley
Where: The Sugar Shack
When: Tuesday night

As she left the hospital for the day, Dr. Elizabeth Todd couldn't help but feel a little chill in her bones. She'd taken a call from Wesley during the day, asking her to meet him for a few drinks and conversation after work. But it was what he didn't say that worried her. He had... some kind of strange worry to his voice, and all she could do was wonder if something was wrong with Selinda, or with her training.

Still in her white med-jacket, over a pink tee shirt and some generic-but-nice-fitting jeans, she sat at a table near the candy display, waiting for him.

Hanging Out

[info]russian_slayer
[info]btvsal
Who: Catherine and Brandon
Where: Avarice
When: Tuesday Night

While everyone else were having their emotional goodbyes, their romantic last nights.... Brandon Bale and Catherine Baclanova were having their own version of that. To these two confident warriors.. there was no doubt they were both coming back. This was no biggie to them. In fact, they merely stood in the back of Avarice, playing pool. Brandon wore dark blue jeans, a black Steelers jersey with "36" and "Bettis" on the back, and a backwards Steelers cap. He sneered confidently, and pointed to the table with his cue. "Seven in the corner pocket."

"You only think you can make that shot," Catherine said with a grin, standing and slightly leaning against her pool stick. "There's no way in hell that you can make that shot." A part of her wondered if they should be worried. However, other than a few jitters, she really wasn't worried at all. She knew that she was coming back. She knew that Brandon was coming back. So, why worry?

Brandon, while nobody outside of the family knew it, was generally know as possibly the most ferocious warrior in the family outside of David himself. And he knew from experience of seeing her that Catherine had a wild streak that no vampire or demon was going to overcome. "Fine. Watch THIS." He said as he positioned himself, concentrating on the shot.

Catherine sat back and waiting for him to shoot. "Don't get distracted by anything now," she said playfully, bending over so that she could tie her shoe. Of course, with the tiny little onsie shorts/shirt combo that she was wearing, she was giving him a pretty good shot of her ass. Not like she was going to play fair.
