TIME UPDATE

Day 16.

Weather: Temperatures are slowly but steadily dipping by the day, sticking in the 50-56°F range during daylight hours.

Events:
Say someone wakes up at five in the morning, desperately needing to pee. They hop out of bed, run to their bathroom door, and attempt to throw it open. Key word being, of course, attempt. Once again, today everyone in Mount Zenith is going to find that their doors are locked. Here’s hoping no one actually experiences that ‘desperately needing to pee’ thing, because this time, getting out is no quick fix.

Why, yes. The computers are blinking. How did you guess? Checking the computers will find, big surprise, a message from those in charge.

Greetings.

At this point in time, we require additional information about you and your companions. As you may or may not have gathered, we are constantly watching, and have been observing you for some time prior to bringing you here. We are now a little over two weeks in, and our research has already been most enlightening. Unfortunately, there are some things best determined through personal, one-on-one experiences. We have several questions, and it would be to your benefit and ours if you were to answer them as honestly and thoroughly as possible. Once this is done, your door will unlock.

Thank you.

After closing this message, a question - as well as a text input for an answer - will appear. Upon answering each question, there is a two-to-five minute wait. IF the question was answered seriously, with something more than a one-word, a single name, or ‘I don’t know’ answer, a new question will appear. If not, an error appears and the question pops up again. Doors will not open until every question is answered. What’s more, once closing the initial message, anyone that goes thirty minutes without typing an answer will receive a low-level jolt. This will continue every half-hour.

So, what are the questions? Well. Probably not what you’d immediately expect.

All of the following questions are about your companions. IE: those with you within the experiment. Answers should include names, and as much descriptive information as possible.

  1. Is there anyone you have met that stands out to you for any reason?

  2. Is there anyone you have not met personally, but has caught your attention on the network?

  3. Is there anyone there that you feel drawn to for any reason?

  4. Is there anyone that you feel frightened of, or threatened by?

  5. Is there anyone that you feel angry or annoyed with?

  6. Is there anyone there that you feel concern for, for any reason?

  7. Have you noticed any similarities between anyone here?

At this point, we are going to ask you about each of your companions, individually. If you come across someone you honestly know nothing about, you may express as much in your answer. You will have to restart this process if we feel you are abusing that privilege.

  1. What are your opinions on Ariel?

  2. Avram?

  3. Billy?

  4. Cecilia?

  5. Chase?

  6. Daphne?

  7. Evie?

  8. Jack?

  9. Juliet?

  10. Juno?

  11. Kiley?

  12. Lana?

  13. Lennon?

  14. Marco?

  15. Owen?

  16. Pam?

  17. Tobias?

  18. Walt?

Obviously, each captive is not asked about themselves. Those coherently trying to glean information off the questions asked might notice a name missing, as this is the first time TPTB have (more or less) listed everyone in the house. Noah’s missing, and in fact, anyone checking his room later will find that he has already been replaced. Oliver, Damon, and Jim have been added to the house this morning.

The good news for them is they don’t get the weird survey thing it’d be pretty much impossible for either of them to answer. The bad news is they still have to go through all the other joys of waking up in this hellpit - the IV, the box of clothes, the locked door, the network orientation.

Finally, as promised Walt, Juliet, and Daphne have special accesses now. Their experience with the survey is slightly different, being that they receive a different message first. Theirs reads:

Experiment B has begun. In a false bottom of your top desk drawer you will find an earbud/USB cord. Plugging the cord into your computer will automatically lock your door and launch the ExB logon. Log on with your subject numbers, password: goldenapple. The ExB program will grant you access to every camera feed in Mount Zenith, as well as reading access on all messaging on the network - even private messages.

Over the next few days we intend to add to your ranks, beginning with Madison. You will be updated when that is official. A new addition to the house, Damon, might prove to be a suitable candidate as well. Do not broach the subject with either of them until we give the go-ahead.

Finally, as one last benefit of your newfound status, we shall provide you with a warning. All subjects are required to answer a survey today. Answer carefully, for all responses given will be made public at a later time.

Of course they are. That makes perfect sense. There’s no way this can end in a clusterfuck of hurt feelings, right?

MOD NOTE: Please reply to this post with each of your character’s answers. Additionally, please let us know if any answers were sent back to them, if they were zapped for inactivity, or how many times they had to answer specific questions.
