Koschei spotted a familiar blond head and, forgetting all dignity, bolted towards him. "Thete! There you are."

The designers Jason had found for him had done a good job, and by the time Eric opened De Final had taken on a very different look from the abandoned bar he had first walked into. The colors were darker, and much classier, the chairs had become sofas and armchairs, all in sleek angles. Pam would have approved.

Time for the opening, and the local staff that had somehow showed up to be interviewed and hired was ready to work the place. All of it had been too easy, but the tough part would be making it work.

Flyers had been dropped all across New New York and the Old Town both, making no secret that a vampire ran the place, and as soon as he opened locals started showing up to have a drink. The place was quickly busy, and his staff were both alluring and professional. Exactly what he'd wanted.

Yes, Pam would have approved.

It was an extraordinarily gorgeous day even for fake New New York. The Master and Doctor had taken over a corner of Central Park to try to gather together cricket teams, from visitors or natives, whoever knew or was willing to learn the basic rules and play. Captaining opposing teams, of course. The easy banter back and forth indicated high, good spirits.

After Mulder had found him and pointed him to Koschei, Theta went, quickly. He entered the room quietly though, climbing into bed beside Koschei and stroking his chest gently, "Hey."

Theta climbed onto Koschei's lap, burying his face against the other boy's shoulder. "I hate everyone ever." he said ill naturedly.

Theta grabbed a bottle of milk then headed into the aquarium in New New New New York. He peered through a tank then waved at Brant. "Hello."

Theta yelped as he stumbled over a threshold and half climbed the Master. "I think these doors are attempting to kidnap me," he huffed.

After leaving Jack, Theta had wandered around, getting to know the city and being a little bit in awe of the blue, blue sky.

He had a lolly in his mouth, that he damn near choked on when he looked down from the sky and saw Koschei. At the right age, his age. He gagged on the lolly, then dropped it, and ran for him, half leaping onto him.

Theta threw a smoke bomb over his shoulder, running down the hall with a laugh and stumbling out of the Academy hallway and into a city. He stared up, startled by a blue sky for a moment- he'd never been off world before he remembered.

He grinned wildly, turning around and beaming, "Fascinating!"

"No, I'm afraid you don't understand," Theta said, hands on his hips and eyes narrowed, glaring at the automatron behind the candy counter. "I want a jelly baby and I want. one. now."

The Master spotted Theta in the dining hall, came over and dropped to crouch beside his chair. "I didn't know you were still here, Theta."

Theta located a long coat. He tugged at the sleeve, then, in a gesture he was really, far too old for, held up both of his arms to be picked up. He looked, and was, tired and clingy.

Jack had been wandering about, trying to shake off thoughts about a version of himself who had never been made immortal and who had died. And how it had affected those who loved him.

It wasn't something he'd thought about much, when he had still been mortal, even though he'd lived in danger most of his life since joining the Time Agency.

He was thinking about it now, though.

He ended up at the lake. Decided to distract himself with something physical, stripped off, and went for a swim.

Rose wandered back towards the hotel, her heart hurting for her Doctor, who might well know, having been here before, that there might have been a way to save Gallifrey, if he'd gotten lucky. For the Koschei she had met and his Doctor, for being seperated from each other - no matter how worthy the cause. Thinking about possibilities she liked even less.

So lost in thought, she nearly bumped into someone, going into the hotel door.

"Oh, sorry! Should look where I'm going," she apologized.

Theta had a set to his jaw and an annoyed expression. It wasn't unlike a puppy chasing his tail. He marched up to Benton, crossing his arms and looking up at him, "I require your assistance for several minutes if you'd be so kind."

Theta was yawning, holding a bear by the foot and wearing a Victorian era sleeping shirt, cut down to his size. It was early in the morning and that was probably the excuse for his attire, if not for the way he climbed onto a lap in the hotel restaurant, yawning and asking, "Can I have coffee?"

He'd had a good shag, a good sleep, and he'd sorted things out with Jack. Even if he was still a bit moody about this place and the people in it and not being able to get away, he was feeling better.

He went and found the carousel he'd magicked out of thin air, sat on a horse and rode the thing, round and round and round, all by himself. Grinning like a madman.

Theta woke up from his nap, grabbed his bear and immediately went out to run down Jack. Who's legs he attached himself to, yawning, "Thank you. No Tocofene."

It was late in the town's night and really, Theta should have been in bed. Instead he was curled up tight with a fuzzy blanket on a couch in the lobby, every light in the place turned up to full blast.

He was pale and biting his lip, obviously struggling to stay awake.

Nancy walked out of the dark alleyway into bright sunlight. She blinked hard. It had just been night, what on earth? She turned around to grasp Jamie's hand, wanting to keep him close, so soon after they'd been reunited, to find him gone.

"Jamie, sweetheart where are you? You can come out it's safe," she called back into the alleyway. She wasn't so sure about that last statement, but she wanted him with her at all costs. "Come on out, and hold Mummy's hand." There was no reply from Jamie. Nancy turned around to find someone looking over at her. "Have you seen a little boy, about this high?" She moved her hand to show the stranger.
