Open

D'athe had poked his nose into a what had smelled like an interesting shop, and had been delighted to discover that it had all sorts of amusing toys. Including the coiled metal spring he had just nudged over the edge of the building he perched on the roof of. A building with a set of stairs on the outside with a nice wide metal rail he could slide down while watching his new toy walk itself down the stairs.

He leaped off the end of the railing to pounce on the coil as it bent forward to rattle off the last step, rolling with it in his claws, chortling happily to himself. Coming to a rest on his back, he sighed, wriggling against the ground a moment, making himself a trip hazard for anyone not paying attention.

Open

D'athe tilted his head as he watched the blue box in the alley, perched on a window-ledge. It looked like the box he'd seen in the library, but it couldn't be the same one. At least, he didn't think so.

Creeping closer, he sniffed at it, sneezing slightly. He reached out a paw to pat lightly at the surface, tilting his head curiously. It felt like wood, almost, but not like cut wood. Like a tree, life humming beneath the surface.

Hello? he asked cautiously, wondering if it were alive. He reached out to pat at what looked like a door, soft-pawed, curious. Can you talk?

Open (D'athe) - finished

The Doctor and Jack arrive in Whoville - cut for length )
Jack laughed. "Come on, Doctor! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Anyway, it looks safe enough." He gave the Doctor a little shove, making him stumble out of the TARDIS into the library.

The Doctor immediately turned to check the TARDIS hadn't disappeared the way it had last time. It hadn't. Jack was still there in the doorway grinning at him. The Doctor slowly grinned back. Ah well. At least this time he had his own Jack.

Open to all! (Party thread, part deux)

Open to all!

The Master was sitting at one of the tables savoring a shot of whiskey as he waited for people to show up. He'd traded out of his usual politician's suit, for a longer, more closely tailored knee length jacket, and had actually lost the tie. The white rose remained pinned, of course.

Everything was set up. Tables, large enough for 4 or 5 people to sit comfortably, around the outside of the room. Food and open bar at the far wall from the doors. And still a fairly large space in the middle for dancing. It was going to be interesting to see how many people showed up, because frankly he wasn't sure what the population of the town was. He couldn't help but wonder, given the malleable and mind bending nature of the this place - if more people showed up then could really fit, would the room mysteriously seem bigger? It wasn't a completely absurd idea, here.

As predicted, there were no Doctors with red roses and black converses in sight, yet.

Open to all (for character reactions to notice)

Finally, the Master was ready to post his notice for the party. He pinned it to a large bulletin board easily viewable in the hotel lobby. In careful flowing calligraphy it read,

"All are cordially invited

To an evening of conversation, food, drinking, music, and dancing

In the company of fellow visitors and semi-residents

Located at the hotel ballroom beginning at dusk tomorrow

Dress up is highly encouraged

Less than civilized behavior while in attendance not tolerated

With warm regards,

Koschei (who will be dressed in style) & Theta Sigma (who will probably be late)"

He was trying really hard not to laugh, as he stood back and looked at it. Ok, he laughed. And then wandered off, with a stupidly happy grin on his face.

Any Jack

D'athe reared back a moment as he stepped through the door, his ears flattening against his head, and his feet scrabbling uselessly for a door that had vanished. He was investigating the strange and chemically smells of a lab, not some town street!

Spinning in a circle a moment, he studied the scene around him. Mystical, wierdy doorway gone, check. Modern paved street that made his claws hurt, check. Buildings that humans griped when he walked on them instead of the street, check. Still somewhere familiarish, but not where he'd been before. Excellent!

He let out a small warble of glee, scrabbling up the building he was next to, launching himself over the edge onto the roof to land with a small grunt before spinning in place, looking out over the edge at the town laid out below him again. So interesting, so different, and brought to him by a wierdy doorway.

This is FABULOUS! Better than a mad scientist, any day! They're all chemically smells and glass exploding in my face, anyway. Though usually they don't have wierdy doorways where there doorway is, so I shall have to investigate that one a little more when I get back.

He looked around the roof, spotting a human male, and bounded over, tilting his head, ears pricked up in greeting.

Hello! You wouldn't happen to be the one who made the wierdy doorway, would you?
