This...wasn't Gallifrey. This wasn't the banks of the Lethe. This was the middle of a street in...Rassilon only knows where. Glancing left and right in confusion, Koschei bunched his hands at his sides, gritting his teeth together as his hearts pounded in his chest. This wasn't right. This wasn't where he was supposed to be. How'd he get here? It didn't make any sense. How'd he... Where was Theta?

He'd had been right behind him. He'd been RIGHT BEHIND HIM! There wasn't any way that they could have gotten separated with barely three feet of leeway. Koschei raised his hands, pressing them against his temples to try and calm the pounding that had been provoked by his confusion, "Theta?" Koschei called weakly at first. That was, until the anger set in. "Theta! Where are you? You said you wouldn't leave! You said you wouldn't leave me alone! YOU PROMISED!"

But he was clearly alone. Alone and lost. Alone, lost, and confused. Three feelings that he absolutely hated.

Leela, Five, The Apprentice

"I think he's in here." The Apprentice poked his head into the building, not as wary as Leela appeared to be, looking around curiously. "It's a little fuzzy, trying to see through the walls. It's better, because they're not all loud and don't make my head hurt and make me get lost because I don't like it loud, but it's harder if I want to find someone. Or if I want someone to find me. My teacher can always find me, though. She has a computer that tells her where I am. It's nice."

He stepped further in, looking around. It was a room full of books, and he peered around the shelves, looking for the one he could identify in his head as the Doctor, but not the same one as the one who'd taught him to make the walls around his mind. He beamed when he spotted a man with blond hair, and dressed in clothing he couldn't actully place in time and space.

"Here! I found him!" He looked over his shoulder at Leela, taking a moment to remember her name. He didn't think she'd told him. He looked back at the Doctor. "She sounds like a cat in the back of my head, hissing and threatening threats to the storm. And you sound like a storm, but not all dark, and not all fire and ice in one, but like distant storm and rain."

Leela had thought she was in the bowels of the TARDIS looking for something-or-other at the Doctor's request when she found herself in town. Arriving on a planet in any way was still new and unexpected, although so far that had generally involved the front door of the TARDIS. She set about looking for the Doctor or, if it turned out that way, whoever had detained him, knife at the ready, staying in the shadows of the buildings with a keen hunter's silence.

Rose - Morgyn, The Apprentice

Rose contemplated using the teleport on her wrist-comp for only a moment before shaking her head, taking a different path that her younger self had, following the trace on the Apprentice's bio-signature, stepping into the lobby, looking for her companion. She let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding when she spotted him sitting in a chair which had a view of most of the lobby, hurying towards him.

"You have any time or place you want to go?"

That was the last thing he remembered before he'd been seperated from the Bad Wolf. He shook his head. Slid sideways through time and space, instead of skipping across the waves. Not what his... teacher? He frowned, then nodded to himself. Not what his teacher's computer was supposed to do. He didn't think she meant to come here, either. Somewhere... somewhere where he could hear more than just lonely howls from someone who couldn't connect on the same level as he remembered connecting.

He shook his head again, looking around a moment before settling down into a nearby chair, just watching the people around him. Looking for someone who wasn't all bound up in regimented time and a short lifespan and blinkered senses.
