Lis' Alt!Master

The hair on the back of Jack's neck stayed raised until he was well out of range of the laser screwdriver - stayed raised until he was out of sight, to be more precise. Being out of sight and not expecting to be hit with a jolt of energy didn't make him less tense, didn't instantly calm him down, and sure as hell didn't immediately get rid of the anger.

He kept right on walking until he felt like he was in at least moderately better control of himself and he'd found a bench. Then he pivoted around, sat down and rubbed his hands over his face and through his hair. When he heard footsteps coming toward him he looked up, dropped his hands to dangle and snorted softly.

That was just fucking perfect. "Nice flower."

Anyone From Torchwood

Gwyneth had been exploring, studying the items that were around the hotel and surrounding areas, taking in the curious state of some of the things. She had even taken off her head cover, tucking it into the front of her apron so that it wouldn't get dirty as she investigated. Right now, she was sitting in the lobby, her head tucked curiously underneath the lampshade on a desk lamp, switching it on and off and watching the bulb with a slightly fascinated expression on her face. She'd heard about something like this, something that could light a room without flame, but she never thought she'd actually see it. There was so much around this place that she could have never even imagined.

Any Jack

D'athe reared back a moment as he stepped through the door, his ears flattening against his head, and his feet scrabbling uselessly for a door that had vanished. He was investigating the strange and chemically smells of a lab, not some town street!

Spinning in a circle a moment, he studied the scene around him. Mystical, wierdy doorway gone, check. Modern paved street that made his claws hurt, check. Buildings that humans griped when he walked on them instead of the street, check. Still somewhere familiarish, but not where he'd been before. Excellent!

He let out a small warble of glee, scrabbling up the building he was next to, launching himself over the edge onto the roof to land with a small grunt before spinning in place, looking out over the edge at the town laid out below him again. So interesting, so different, and brought to him by a wierdy doorway.

This is FABULOUS! Better than a mad scientist, any day! They're all chemically smells and glass exploding in my face, anyway. Though usually they don't have wierdy doorways where there doorway is, so I shall have to investigate that one a little more when I get back.

He looked around the roof, spotting a human male, and bounded over, tilting his head, ears pricked up in greeting.

Hello! You wouldn't happen to be the one who made the wierdy doorway, would you?

Jamie offered a cookie to the person he sat down next to on the settee in the hotel lobby, "I think it's chocolate chip."

"So, this is awkward," Jack sat down at the bar, staring at the other man a little curiously.

Rowan stared at a mirror in the entry hall, frowning as he kept mussing his hair, changing it before turning to someone nearby and asking, "Do I look like a girl?"

Rose continued to walk down the street of what seemed to be earth though not her earth as she paused momentarily to look up at the sky, taking note of the missing zeppelins. A small smile started to form on her face, "I actually did it." Though what year this was, was still a mystery. "Mmm...guess I better find a newspaper." She said to herself and kept moving forward.
