[Most times there's a large pot suspended over a cooking fire, there's inevitably an accompanying aroma of fresh soup or stew, or a slow-cooked pot roast.

Today, at best, there's the odour of stale sweat being surpressed beneath the omnipresent hint of soap as sheet after sheet is sterilized between washings in the river.]

Confining oneself to your quarters for days on end is understandable given the circumstances, but to have lain upon the same linens through several stages of a clearly contagious illness, and then to further use the same bedsheets without so much even a thought to washing them boarders on a reprehensible lack of cleanliness. The only wonder is, perhaps, that the whole of our units were not subjected to the same periods of fever and delirium.

[Today one member of Hydra is going around to all the dorms! Knocking on doors, saying hello, meeting new people, trading gossip, you name it. He's got a covered woven basket with him, too.]

[...Okay we lied. Maybe not ALL of them. He's probably conspicuously skipping Beardog and Lepus, but that's not to say that he has to ignore aforementioned team members if he meets one of their number on the road, right...?]

What:  Masquerade~ Paper faces on parade. Masquerade! Hide your face so the world will never find you~

[The arena is dim today, the light of the torches giving way to a shimmering sort of half-light as one approaches. The ambiance is more that of twilight than dawn, and it flatters the smiles on the statue of the Twins high above. Tiny white lights flicker and disappear in the air, swaying and dancing like fireflies, but to any who examine them closely, they seem to lack substance.]

[What stands in the rest of the arena, however, remains a mystery- for towering to an improbable height near the foot of the stairs is a gate of ornate iron scrollwork, and the wall attached encircles the arena, blocking off the space closest to the statue. Lanterns of colored paper and whimsical metal shapes have been hung from the top of it, adding a splash of color- here Cepheus purple, there Hydra green, and all the teams represented in their turn. From above the gates, there rings out a voice that is pleasant and more than a little amused.]

A pleasant evening to you, little blanks. I trust you've had word from Ophiuchus? Do prepare yourselves accordingly. I've arranged a game for you, and my dear sister has agreed to help me put it on.

[The sharkling is going through the boxes of fabric and undecorated clothes. The common room table is currently a small tangled mess of green, orange, feathers, glitter and bolts of stray cloth.]

[There are two Uroboros out, apparently sightseeing. The smaller one is lingering behind the more common troll to the area, not entirely at ease. That's not exactly surprising.]

[There's a commotion coming from one of the abandoned dorms today. It sounds like a mix of cursing and bleating. Upon closer investigation, the door busts open and out dashes an angry shret, making its way to FREEDOM.

Exiting at a slower (and with a lot of limping) pace is someone in orange...]

That hurt, you stingy sheep!

[As the light in the caverns rises to its apex, normal Blank and Ophiuchus alike can hear the call of the arena. Anyone who arrives there will see Mirror's silvery statue gleaming in the torchlight, her statue's face curved in a pleasant smile.

Sixteen circular glass buildings are arranged in a semi-circle by her feet; anyone peeking inside can see basic furnishings but not much else. Ten more rectangular rooms are arranged on the opposite side; however, these cannot be seen into. And in the middle of both groups of buildings is a pleasant picnic set out on black tablecloths with gold, silver, and bronze place settings. There's also plenty of food laid out for any Ophi members who show, but none for the regular blanks.

Also worrying might be the large black box at the end of the Ophi picnic. That can't be good.]

So many bad feelings in the air. Perhaps you would enjoy a little game of revenge~?

[After coming home in the morning and making sure people know that the people who were at the game didn't die, Link has decided today is a good day to get a long-standing mission out of the way, since they're nicely stocked up due to trades and apology-baskets.

So now the party of dolphins is getting ready to set out for some badgercroc hunting with their various sharp implements and sleep-berry traps.]
