There seems like a good amount of alcohol here. More importantly, it seems to be alcohol of fine quality. In the middle of a high stress period.

[Little has changed since you left, other than the light suffusing the Arena is brighter, in time with the day.

As the last of the teams file in, possessions in hand, pushed or pulled behind, the water seeping into the Arena seems to simply be drawn out.

The eastern doors groan, shudder and swing shut with a final, echoing boom. The soft sound of sobbing and water halts just as suddenly. One of the helper ants begins chewing on a wall idly.]

That out of the way! Lets get a little organized, shall we? Please head to the Southern Gate, and line up by partner teams.

Ah, and yes, Cepheus and Lacerta are now partners. Moving on!

What: Reflective surfaces :|a

[Gosh, there sure is a lot of water in the caves now. Places that weren't wet now have wide (but still shallow) puddles, while many of the lower sections are completely flooded. With all that water about and the torches at their zenith ... there is a hell of a lot more reflective surfaces about. Huge swaths of reflective surfaces where there used to be none at all.

Best watch your step. Strange images swim through the murky water, and many of them resemble Blanks. And every now and then, a woman with black hair and no eyes drifts under your feet, watching everything.]

[(1) Lynx girl and (1) Corvus beastman are coming back from the arena with memories in hand!]

[Once again, that strange patchwork of light and reality bathes the arena. Deep, impenetrable darkness wars with scattered rays of light, illuminating tiny slices of some seemingly unconnected scenery. Here a patch of lush, bluish tinged grass is warmed by the sun and blown by the breeze. There half of a delicate stone fountain is bathed in the first morning light... And over there you see a strange, fuzzy creature skittering and scrambling up a sheer rock face, ducking nervously in and out of shadows.

Scenes like this are scattered throughout the entire Arena without any sense of rhyme or reason... But as you walk further, you find yourself having to step on or around more and more thread. Fourteen shades of fine thread loop, scatter and tangle, condensing and congregating below the throne... leading to fourteen looms, each with a primitive, fuzzy picture coming into view, line by line- starting with the sky at the top.

When you look directly at the throne, it seems empty. It is only out of the corners of your eyes do you catch fleeting glimpses... sometimes fingers twined with thread... sometimes a face: matured with age, but warm and kindly.]

[By a cave wall close to the Monoceros dorms a ghost suddenly stumbles out of it. Her clothes are covered in dust and have been slightly tattered and her hair is a complete mess, hardly being recognizable as curls any more. Aside from that she doesn't really look like she's been faring ill though, in all honesty she looks more annoyed than anything else as she's giving the wall she just came out for the finger.]

What the bloody hell do you mean I get an F in scariness? And fix my hair before you leave!

[At the same time there is a boy appearing from another wall between Corvus and Lynx dorms. He doesn't really look any different from when he left, but he does look like he's about to fall down at any second.]

[Out at the tailend of the river this morning, there is a man in old-fashioned Orion yellow (though it's pretty dirty at the moment) without a bracer, who was making his way south. Only now he's stopped to stare at the river in a manner that suggest he thinks he'll work out what it is if he looks at it long enough.
