[Following the caves away from the pillar, you find yourself in the normal pathways of Sabra La Tau, the lanterns lighting your way. Eventually, you come to a fork in the path, the caves splitting off in four separate directions. In one direction, you can faintly hear the call of a game. In another, in the distance you can make out what appears to be the old North block, from Sabra's beginnings. In another, the dome of the old Hydra dorm looms, catapult on its roof. The last leads to the open expanse of the South block, the skull visible in the distance.

The water remains, but there are no longer pillar shards floating in it. It slaps at your calves.]

[Following the call of the judges leads you to the arena where the other teams seem to have gathered for a game. If you look to the throne, your eyes cannot quite make out which statute stands upon it, it seems to shift fluidly from one to the next. The faces of most of the teams seems indistinct, differentiated only by their colored uniforms. Some of the uniforms show bright splashes of what appears to be blood, particularly Canis, Pyxis, and Lepus. Those that stand out are Zero of Delphinus, Cobra and Allen of Lacerta, Faith of Cepheus, and Harmony of Ophiuchus.

[As you open the closet suddenly the entire apartment around you distorts and vanishes. You find yourself in a steel cage, the back wall of which have been torn back and are pinned open with giant mirror shards.

In the middle of the cage is a boy, he doesn't look much older than five or so cowering away from a huge imposing shadow of a figure that looms forward.

And the shadow . . . well, you found the source of the black water because he seems to be made of it. It's gushing off of him, splashing across the floors of the room and out the opening in the wall. The water seems to have taken on a different form now, as well. When you touch it all you can feel is something twisting the bottom of your gut. It feels disgusting, it feels like fear, it feels like hopelessness all wound into one. There's an utter sense of defeat in that no matter how you try to struggle he will win.]

[you're now standing in a chain link fence cage with a little boy. the wall to your backs is metal and shows no signs of damage from the mirror shards. There's a door set into it, also locked.]
