[An unmistakable buzzing noise. An unmistakable, oddly tuneful buzzing noise. Add in a chorus of Orvi cawing, some clapping, and... A violin solo somehow? Drums? Who even knows. Should you investigate this abnormality you will find one Disney princess engaging in an elaborate dance number with several of Sabra's beasts as they help her gather food. There is a stack of pederpes rolling onions into a basket with a flick of their tail, beebats actively sharing their honey, fatty lizards helping to carry baskets, at least one dolphinacorn in there somewhere, it goes on and on. This is real. This is a thing that is happening.]

[Not many hear the call that comes out from the arena. The whistle is high and sweet, and far above the uppermost ranges of human hearing. But throughout the South Block, animals foraging in the brief window of dusk pause and lift their heads, pets whine and scratch at closed doors. Torches flicker in the wake of the sound, casting odd shadows on the walls . . . shadows that don't settle as they should, that aren't shaped as they should, shadows that laugh and wave and point to the arena no matter what pose the people casting them take.

The arena stands in its normal ruins, but instead of the light of a breaking day, it's shaded in evening's hues, and the light fades more with each step. On the great throne sits a statue of matte black rock, lumpy and shapeless and casting the shadow of a young child on the arena's far wall ]

Step quickly blanks, step fast. The game has begun, and the light will not last.

[A shark seems to be skating through most of the major areas today, with a fishing spear and a line of rope. Seemingly looking for a decent hunting spot within the more populous areas, but is certainly making a closer swing here and there if people are around.

He may or may not be stalked by other Hydracula, but really, that just how it goes.]
