OOC- Hey y'all, we going to try something a little different for this, hopefully it will be a low-pressure and fun way of handling the game. This will be an IC/OOC thread with optional action tags. If you post regular comm style it will count for 100 points like a regular comm. If you use action tags in brackets it will count for 200 points. To clarify the rules, if you are tagged by an enemy while you are in enemy territory you are "out" and are frozen in place until someone from your own team tags you back in, at which point you must return to your own territory before joining play again. You can only be tagged out while in enemy territory so "defenders" in their own territory cannot be frozen.

Oh, and all this is back-dated to Sunday because I didn't have my act together enough yesterday to do it. :P

Bucky had spent some time on his watch thinking about his conversation with Finnick earlier about Nick. The more he thought that there might be a HYDRA agent amongst them, the more afraid he felt. He wasn't sure if him and Steve should head over to the non-populated area of the island and make camp there or stay where they were. Which might be safest? He didn't have a lot of training related to tactics and camouflage in this type of environment so that didn't help.

Steve would tell him he was being paranoid and possibly crazy, which was not something he wanted to engage in. If people thought he was genuinely crazy, who knew what they'd do to him. Kill him outright or worse, imprison him? He had to be careful. Bucky didn't intend to let anyone imprison him again if he could help it, death would be preferable. This was all swirling in his head as he scanned the quiet encampment from his seat by his fire.

Log Cabin Update- end of week 2

The foundation and subfloor are finished! We finished pouring the concrete footings and wall on Sunday, took Monday and Tuesday off to let the concrete dry, then put in the box sill on Wednesday, the floor joists on Thursday and the sub floor on Friday. We've also laid bricks for the hearth and started building the chimney.

We're taking Sunday off as usual, and then next week we get to begin stacking the logs for the walls!

Scott, Bucky, and Steve, I can't thank you enough for all your help with this. It's definitely going faster and smoother to have some extra sets of hands.

With all the new people, we should make this week's bonfire another one where we share stories about our various cultures/worlds. I'm sure some of the newer arrivals have great stories to tell and some people who already shared might want to share again.

Hey, everybody, I was wondering if anyone else was interested in playing Capture the Flag this Sunday? I tried to organize a game for Tuesday but I didn't have much luck, maybe because it was a weekday and short notice. So I'm trying again for this Sunday.

So far we have me, Chloe, Sara, Barry, Bucky, and Steve (I think? Bucky kind of volunteered you, Steve).

Oh, and if you're super strong or fast or whatever and you think you shouldn't play because you're worried about cheating? Don't be. EVERYONE of all abilities is invited, and we'll just try to divide up the teams so they're even and we don't get all the super powers on one side. OK?

Hello? I'm Bucky. I wanted to know if I could come learn about chickens from you? I heard you are our animal expert?

I received a number of gardening tools from the gods this week. It should make things easier, especially transporting things from the garden to the main camp area since I got a large wagon.

If anyone is interested in lending a hand in the gardens, please let me know. We really ought to expand what we're growing since our population will presumably continue to increase.

I'm Eight. I'm not human, so thought maybe I should say that. Also, is anyone else here a vegetarian?

Since we've had several new arrivals recently, I wanted to make a post with some things you all need to know. Many of you will have already found out some of this information from interacting with the other volunteers, but I wanted to put it all in one place and on the record so that we don't leave anything important out. Also, we could link other newbies to this in the future so that we don't have to keep explaining the same things.

I’ve done plenty of camping and roughing it in my time, but if I was being candid about things, I’d be hard pressed not to admit that I was really, really getting used to the technology of the twenty first century. It’s a heck of a lot harder to mess up food when all you’ve got to do is peel back part of a lid on a box and then pop it in the microwave. Microwaves: seriously one of the finest inventions of the current times. Past current times? Which is it?

My generation’s innovations included sliced bread and ballpoint pens. Just in case anyone thinks we were slacking.

I'm not sure what I expected, but a full blown beach and a tropical atmosphere wasn't exactly it. But, well, here it is. A bit like a vacation. Not that I've ever been on a real vacation.

I'm afraid I won't be able to settle without a proper understanding of the layout of this place. And, of course, I'd like to meet everyone. From what I understand, this community isn't particularly large as of yet, so that shouldn't be too difficult, I think.
