Journal: Astoria Greengrass
I'm really enjoying the process of moving into my new house! Or should I say new home? It's exciting opening up all the closed drapes to let light in, going through what items should stay in this house and what should leave (as it's come furnished), wondering about what paint would look best in which room, what remodeling needs to be done while what should stay the same, and how it will all look in the end! There is, of course, lots to be done. Lots of organising and cleaning and shopping for things like flatware and kitchen utensils and linen. Who would have thought such things would be so exciting?

But one thing I do not find exciting is boggarts. Or one boggart. I think.

Apparently the previous occupants of this house were... interesting, to say the very least, and a boggart's moved into one of the upstairs wardrobes. This wouldn't really be a problem, except that it seems to keep moving from one dark space to another! Either that, or there's another boggart! It is very disturbing annoying trying to clean just to be confronted by one.

I've contacted the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, but they don't seem to be in any particular hurry to do their stupid job help out. As such, I'm wondering if anyone out there is capable of helping out with this problem. In addition, I've found myself in need of a bit of help disposing of a few items of a less than savoury nature that the previous occupants left behind (and have me believing that they, the items, are why the previous occupants left without taking anything in the house).

If anyone can help or point me in the direction of someone who can help, I'd greatly appreciate that.

Hello! Seeing as how your birthday is fast approaching, I was wondering if you had any particular birthday wishes, or, at the very least, anything in particular you might be hoping to receive on your special day?

You moved? Where to?

Dad used to deal with dark objects. I can ask about getting rid of them, I might know someone. If you found dark objects in the house, have you checked for other dark magic? Dark spells can hide in weird places.

I'm going to make a birthday list later.

I'm in London now!

I've tried, but I admit, it isn't my specialty. The items I found I really only found because they had runes engraved on them, and those runes seemed very off to me. I levitated them into a trunk with some protection spells on it, and I moved that very far away for safety. And if you know someone, that would be wonderful, especially if that person can check the rest of the house! And do let this person know that I would pay, of course.

Oh splendid!

I can check the rest of the house for you, even if I can't find anyone to deal with the dark objects. That's what I was doing before I moved - checking old houses for dark magic, and getting rid of it.

Oh, well I'd greatly appreciate it if you did if you can't find someone! What are you doing now that you've moved?

Well, I wouldn't mind a second eye when it comes to decorating and/or shopping for new furniture. But no pressure, honestly! I may also be looking into adding some art to the walls.

You should come to the studio. Braith and Dean both still have pieces available, I think, and I think you'd like Ophelia's work - though it's not something you can put on the wall.

Boggarts are the worst! I'm not the best but maybe two charms against it will be better than one? Let me know, darling.

I remember that from school it's better to go after them in groups of two or more to confuse them, but I think that applies to just one and when you know where that single one is hiding. I suppose that's the long way of saying two is better than one in these instances. I do have a possibility of someone coming to help, so I'll let you know if it happens or falls through? And for some reason that reminded me that I should think about a house warming party when the house is boggart free and set up how I want!

I can come handle the boggart if you don't hear from them soon. Mother used to make me get rid of any that found their way into the manor.

Thank you for the offer! I'm hoping to hear about someone helping sooner rather than later, though if things fall through, I'll let you and Romilda know. Perhaps three against one or two will be a lot better odds than one against a sneaky little pest.
