I will be heading to France in the morning. Mother has requested my presence. I do not know when I will return.

I thought these days were behind us. Why must each of her beau's find an early demise. Though I should have known this was coming, her most recent owl stated she was growing bored with the relationship. She will ask me to bring the assets back to the Manor and I'm fairly certain she will return shortly afterwards. The one good thing about her presence is it gives me a reason to finally have the get together I've been thinking of without having to worry about doing too much of the planning myself as Mother loves to put those sort of things together.

All of this sunshine might mean I don't want to ride my bike without some serious magical intervention clothes-wise, but it makes for absolutely gorgeous photos. (Seriously, bike leathers and the beating sun are a TERRIBLE combo. I sweat like a pig and get dehydrated.)

I went to an event Mama was catering last night and got some great shots of the gardens of the house (and free cheesecake!).

If anyone wants photos of events or whatever I actually take photos semi-pro by the way. You know, because being a professional quidditch player doesn't keep me busy enough! I have a portfolio thing if you want to see.

Happy Fourth of July to my fellow transplants. Yes, I'm not American, but I'm HALF American. But I also spent like half of my life IN AMERICA, too. We used to always drag my Aunt & Uncle into Boston to see the fireworks at the Esplanade and it was always totally magical. Today makes me miss my family there, my cousin Andie especially, and so I'm sending out love from across the ocean and toasting a delicious Kentucky bourbon here at the house.

Saturday brought more rainbows, glitter and an even wider array of Pride-themed decorations to the club as more individuals brought in things from their various celebrations over the days. Wingbeat was just as filled with people as it had been for the previous days of the Pride celebration, and perhaps even more so, considering that it was now officially the weekend. The party was obviously still going strong, if the continuation of music, dancing and drinking were anything to go by.
