Pride Saturday: OPEN to all
Who: OPEN for multiple threads
What: Wingbeat for Pride weekend
Where: Wingbeat
When: Saturday, July 4th
Rating: NSFW probably

Saturday brought more rainbows, glitter and an even wider array of Pride-themed decorations to the club as more individuals brought in things from their various celebrations over the days. Wingbeat was just as filled with people as it had been for the previous days of the Pride celebration, and perhaps even more so, considering that it was now officially the weekend. The party was obviously still going strong, if the continuation of music, dancing and drinking were anything to go by.

Stacey had been excited all day - just because she'd been to the club the previous two nights didn't mean that it was going to be any less fun the third time around. Especially since she'd managed to get Zacharias to come along with her this time.

Thursday she had come directly from the parlor and hadn't stopped to change, and yesterday she'd arrived after finishing one of the parades in Muggle London, wrapped in a rainbow flag she'd donated as another decoration for Wingbeat's walls, which had left her in jeans and a rainbow themed t-shirt for the evening. Tonight though, she'd had time to plan, which resulted in an outfit the colors of the asexual pride flag.

She was mostly excited about the studded purple boots and the excuse to wear them, paired with black jeans, a gray tank top and clunky purple jewelry around her neck and wrists. As they walked through the door to the club, Stacey slipped her hand into the crook of Zacharias' elbow to keep the crowd from inadvertently separating them as she asked with a grin, "So, how do you feel about glitter?"

"It is evil, gets everywhere, and hard to get rid of," Zacharias said, though his tone wasn't harsh despite his words. He may not have been pleased to spend part of his Saturday uncomfortable in a loud club, but he knew Stacey wanted to be there. And Stacey was his friend. He wasn't going to ruin her fun by sulking too much. Though just because he agreed to be dragged along and even agreed to wear Muggle clothes (jeans and a black t-shirt with "NO" in white text in the center), that didn't mean he had to do too much else. Honestly, he was happy sitting at a table off to the side, watching her drink while he sipped some virgin cocktail or something.

"I suppose it's unavoidable, though," he added, sticking close to Stacey. He look around at the club at the decorations, idly wondering about their meanings. He didn't want to ask, however. He was ignorant enough about some things, and he didn't want to embarrass himself further. Besides, he was here for Stacey, not a lesson in the ever increasing diversity of human sexuality and personal identity. He could save that for later when there was no one around to laugh at him for not knowing or lecture him for his lack of knowledge and experience with such things.

Laughing, Stacey told him, "I'm sure you'll find a way to get rid of once we leave." She'd sighed a little when she'd seen the outfit he'd chosen for the evening, though she did have to admit that it suited him. And he'd agreed to come with her, which she knew was probably entirely based on their friendship and no actual desire on his part to be here. With that in mind, she knew she wouldn't be giving him any grief about pretty much anything this evening.

"In a place like this, on a night like tonight? Not a chance," she confirmed, leading him towards the bar. She had no plans on drinking in excess, but that didn't mean she was going to completely abstain. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Zacharias eyeing the decorations on the walls, but she wouldn't offer an explanation without prompting, knowing that this was a topic she could go on for hours about. "Tell the nice bartender what you want to drink," she instructed when the reached the counter. "Because if you leave it to me, you will wind up with something festive."

Zacharias refrained from groaning about likely being able to avoid the glitter. It wasn't that he minded glitter in and of itself so much as he'd rather choose himself if he wanted to actively have it anywhere on his person. Like he'd said, it got everywhere and was hard to get rid of. He anticipated several showers spread out between later tonight and tomorrow morning to get rid of any stray bits of glitter. That thought alone was a reason to groan, but, again, he refrained.

"Uh, butterbeer," he said looking to the bartender. He wasn't actually sure he wanted a butterbeer, but he hadn't been able to think of any other non-alcoholic beverages the club might serve. And he didn't want to hold up other customers by asking, nor did he want to look entirely stupid. Normally, he didn't drink, and he had a feeling that tonight shouldn't be one of the exceptions. He didn't know the people around him, and, perhaps a bit more along the lines of paranoia, he didn't know who might know him and his parents. If his dad found out where he was... Well, Zacharias didn't want to repeat the night his father had found out that some bloke had won him at a charity auction. Though he supposed as long as he didn't get drunk and didn't actually do anything -- which was most of his plan for the night, to do nothing to draw attention to himself -- he'd be alright.

Stacey couldn't help smirking a little at Zacharias, because even if he hadn't said anything, they'd been friends long enough that sometimes she could figure out what he was thinking. Especially when it was as obvious a topic as glitter and the subsequent mess.

She raised an eyebrow slightly at his order before requesting one of the specials for herself. Drink in hand, she gazed around for a moment, unconsciously bobbing her head slightly to the beat of the music. After a quick once over, she turned back to her best friend and said, "Thank you, again, for coming with me. Even if I didn't really give you a choice in the matter."

"You're welcome," he said, even if he knew that, one way or another, Stacey would have dragged him out. But at least when she did, she seemed to do so respectfully. Although she might want him to come along to things like Pride, she never seemed to expect him to do more than the bare minimum of participation. Tonight, for instance, he was there. That had to be enough, right? He was there, and he wasn't complaining. He had no plans to dance, and he'd worn the shirt he had specifically to warn off unwanted advances. But he was there. He was trying. It wasn't deserving of a medal, he knew, but he didn't want one. He just wanted his friend to know he supported her. Even if that meant being uncomfortable in a hot, loud club.

Zacharias took a small sip of his butterbeer as he looked around again, spotting what he assumed was the place the owner of the club had written about in the journals. He looked to Stacey, then motioned toward it, saying, "I think I see a couple of chairs."

One of Stacey's life missions was to get Zacharias to socialize in a way he'd actually enjoy, rather than just dealing with the situation because she'd asked, something that hadn't been very successful yet. She hadn't honestly thought that tonight would be any different, but she was glad that he'd come along nonetheless, even if she could tell he wasn't exactly comfortable. It meant a lot to her that he was here to support her.

Grinning at his comment, she told him with a small wave of her hand, "Lead the way." Stacey would probably be wandering off to dance at some point, though probably not for very long, not wanting to leave Zacharias alone when she'd specifically dragged him with her in the first place.

Zacharias gave a little nod before carefully linking arms with Stacey. He didn't want to lose her in the crowd, though he also wasn't trying to knock her drink out of her hand or unintentionally bump her into someone else. He waited for a wizard in what Zacharias thought might be an alarmingly tight shirt (honestly, did he not have trouble breathing?) to pass before leading them toward the chairs he thought he saw.

It didn't take long to reach them at the small table, and he set his drink down before anyone else could take the table. For a second, he wondered if he should pull out Stacey's chair. Although this wasn't a date, his parents' voices still rang loud in the back of his head about such gestures. Instead, however, he motioned to the table and chairs, saying, "After you." He decided he'd sit wherever she didn't sit and save pulling out chairs for forced dates and nice restaurants.

Grinning, Stacey happily held onto his arm - it was rare for Zacharias to be the one to initiate physical contact, though over the years he seemed to have grown to tolerate her brand of touchy-feely manner. She had to hold in a giggle at the wizard they passed who had looked at her best friend with something like interest (just because she didn't have those desires didn't mean she was incapable of recognizing it in others) until his face fell slightly at the word on Zacharias' shirt. Even more amusing to her was the fact that he didn't even seem to notice, keeping them moving to the table he'd located.

She threw herself into one of the chairs, making a motion with her hand to show that he should sit as well. "So, what do you think?" she asked, honestly curious about what his opinion would be of the whole situation at hand.

Genie was having a blast so far, even though she was also working her arse off. She was pouring drinks skillfully like there was no tomorrow, the rainbow one coming out especially popular for this week. She was proud that Charlie had chosen it, and the Fairy Wands that Dom had helped her to create added a great touch everywhere.

She danced a bit behind the bar as she worked, quick with a smile or a witty clip or a flirtatious wink, earning her tips as well as some smiles in return. Her blood thrummed through her body, still wild from the moon that was barely over. She'd cut it very close this time, actually letting Brighid apparate her home so she wouldn't be late for Pride weekend.

"What can I get ya?" she asked the next person up to the bar.

Dora had had too much to drink. She wouldn't deny it to herself, though she probably would to anyone else who dared ask. She didn't quite look it, she'd always held her liquor exceptionally well. And she was still drinking.

It wasn't that it was Pride and such. She didn't care much about that. She'd even known that coming out here would be a bad idea, but Tristan had planted the idea in her head and her will power was weak. She was lonely. He'd pretty much moved out and was busy with his own life, and everyone else was so busy, Chris, Mils, Rich, everyone. So she'd drink here with everyone and pretend in some part of herself that she wasn't so very alone so much of the time.

That she wasn't falling apart at the seams so much of the time.

She had a smile on her face, though, and socialized casually as she drank, dancing when she felt like it, and drinking more when she didn't.

Pandora and Dominic (and OPEN)

Though he was openly (to everyone except his family) bisexual, Dominic didn't really go in for Pride as a political movement. Certainly not enough to have more than two nights' worth of rainbow-themed clothing. Tonight, therefore, he was wearing plain black trousers and a sleeveless t-shirt. The shirt showed off his arms and back nicely, the trousers clinging to his muscled-thighs. To add a little colour, he'd charmed rainbow-coloured glittery handprints to wrap around his biceps and forearms. A number of people had been unable to resist trying to wipe the glitter off him, and Dominic didn't mind the lingering touches at all - but the glitter was just an illusion, and none of it was going anywhere.

He was heading for the bar to grab his third fairydust-infused cocktail when he spotted Pandora. The wands had been a success, and everywhere he looked Dominic could see drinks sparkling with the stuff as the wands were stirred through the liquid. The wands from his previous drinks were tucked about his person - one in his back pocket and the other behind his ear. He kept an eye on Pandora as he fetched another drink, then squeezed his way through the crowd to stand at her side as he stirred it - setting the fairydust to shining and glittering with its own luminance. "Good night so far?" he asked.

Dora noticed the top notch illusion work first, even a bit drunk, and then she noticed the arms under it next. Nice arms, she thought. They reminded her a bit of Chris, but as her eyes went up she determined it wasn't him before she even got to his face. Still, he was pretty. Not as sharp as Chris, but very good looking. Then her brain went on to register that she knew him, and she smiled somewhat brightly at him.

She tilted her head and regarded him over her drink for a moment, nibbling her straw idly and being amused that the alcohol on her lips made it sparkle a little. "That depends," she said. "Is being a bit drunk a good thing or a bad thing?" She grinned, though. It had always been far to easy to bury her bad emotions in drink, and tonight was rapidly becoming no different.

Dominic raised an eyebrow in response and shrugged one glittery blue shoulder. "Depends, I suppose, whether you're good drunk or bad drunk." The smile seemed to suggest she wasn't a maudlin or aggressive drunk, at least. He took a sip of his own drink, considering. "I will probably be a bit drunk when I finish this," he judged. "More so if I finish it fast."

There were still people all around them, and Dominic shifted his hips away from the curious hand belonging to someone trying to squeeze past. "Did you do anything else for Pride this year, or is it just tonight?" he asked. He had no idea what Dora's sexuality might be, but she must have noticed all the rainbows so she was probably comfortable with the idea of Pride, even if it was from the outside - or else she didn't know what they meant.

Dora squinted at her drink. "This is my... third? In the last couple hours. I think." It could be more. She didn't make a habit of counting. It was too depressing. Besides she had built a high tolerance over the last few years, especially for her size. Though she had had some water after the last drink.

She shrugged at his question. "Pride is all well and good, I guess. I mostly came for the drinks and dancing." Even if she preferred a different sort of dancing. "I don't really know why we need to celebrate all of it, most people I know don't really care who you kiss unless it's someone you're trying to hide."

Dora knew she didn't care, never had. She'd kissed a couple girls but that was it, nothing to write home about but that was most people for her. "It is quite the party though."

"Really?" Dominic asked, surprised. What little he knew about Pandora suggested a pureblood upbringing, which didn't exactly suggest tolerance and open-mindedness. "My parents would care, if they knew." It wasn't something he usually talked about, but he felt strangely called upon to defend Pride as a movement, even if he didn't usually participate heavily. "They're Christian," he added. "So dad's completely against it and mom takes a 'hate the sin, love the sinner' kind of attitude - which means she's okay with people being gay, as long as they don't do anything to act on it." Neither of which was exactly encouraging him to come out anytime soon.

He took a larger sip of his drink, and shrugged. "There's still a long way to go," he finished, with less fervour. "I honestly don't know how it works in the wizarding world, but we've only just got civil partnerships for same sex couples..." Dominic trailed off as the music rose to a crescendo before the song finished. "But I didn't come here to talk politics," he amended sheepishly. "I came here to drink and dance - so can I whisk you onto the dancefloor before I piss you off with my opinions?"

Her eyebrows raised a bit as she regarded him. "Some things are more acceptable than others. I have an aunt whose wife has always been part of my family, though." She shrugged. She wouldn't get into the more scandalous nature of her mother's family, though everyone knew the Black family tree was more of a messy bush than anything else. Granted, it was less acceptable usually to have someone of less than pure blood, though her father's family was more known for not caring as much. "That's too bad. Parents should just love you no matter what." She took a long drink, using it to cover the pang to her heart that her mother didn't really care for her anymore, even though for vastly different reasons. "Ahh. That explains that in part. Though i always thought it preached love and love alike or whatever." She shrugged, too drunk to remember most of what she'd read over the years. "Too bad, though."

She smiled a bit. "I think you'd be surprised, if you looked a bit more at the wizarding world." She shrugged again. "I mean, Dumbledore preferred men, it wasn't a huge deal. My aunts have been bonded since their twenties and have several kids. As long as you can provide an heir somehow..." She gestured vaguely with her drink. "Sure, that'd be great," she said, and she drained the rest of her drink in one go, grinning at him when she finished. "I'm not as good at this dancing as other sorts, but I'll manage." She figured she'd warn him though.

"They do," Dominic said quickly. He loved his parents, and they loved him. They just... wouldn't understand. They wouldn't understand that he didn't seem to have a fully monogamous bone in his body, either. It was just a fact of life - it didn't mean they didn't love him, it just meant they didn't understand his choices. And, since he didn't intend to settle down with man or woman, they didn't really need to be informed of them. He shrugged. A nightclub was not the right venue for a bible discussion, nor for Dominic to try to explain the complicated relationship he had with religion and spirituality.

Dominic nodded seriously as he listened, wanting to press for more and more information, but also cognizant of the fact that a little drunk and in a loud club was far from the idea situation for it. "Let's table the conversation for now and go dance," he confirmed, holding out a hand to her. "And honestly, I doubt there's enough room to worry about being 'good'."

Dora grinned, easily pulled from a conversation right now because, well, dancing seemed like a keen idea and she was a little bit drunk and distractable right now. She downed her drink and stuck the wand in her hair before slipping her hand into his, letting him pull her out onto the dance floor. She laughed softly. "That is true. So. Many. People!"

She moved to the beat, having had enough drinks to not feel too self conscious or care what others felt too much. It was warm in here, and she was flushed, but having quite a bit of fun especially since she sort of knew Dom and thought he was quite a nice guy and handsome to boot.

Dean was actually starting to enjoy himself now he was safely at Wingbeat and in the sound dampened area. The few moments between the doors to the downstairs room and special area had been a bit of an assault on his senses, but thankfully he'd been expecting that. Plus he'd already taken an extra sip of his calming potion in preparation for the evening. Well, that had been partly necessary when he'd had a bit of a panic trying to decide on what to wear resulting in him turning up on Susan's doorstep wearing paint-splattered jeans and a shirt that kept him tugging at his cuffs. She'd managed to talk him into something more appropriate, although it had come down to her shoving him into some clothes and glaring at him to stop his protests in the end. He was mildly uncomfortable in the green shirt he'd ended up in, but at least he felt like he was making the effort. The jeans she'd shoved him into cost more than he'd ever paid for a pair, he was sure, but at least his shoes were comfy and somewhat familiar. Everything belonged to Edgar, excepted for his boxers. It was weird, but it worked, even if he did feel the urge to fiddle with his sleeves and tug at the hem of the shirt every now and then.

He sat back in his seat at the booth they'd managed to commandeer (via some glaring from Susan) and twirled the wand in his cocktail. There wasn't any alcohol in it but it was making his nerves calm slightly. The noise here was completely tolerable and he was sure he'd get up in a bit and dance, but he'd wanted to take it all in first. The one time he'd very briefly tried clubbing before had been a disaster and had just about put him off for life until Charlie had announced the new adjustments. He smiled faintly at the loud, glittery crowd and allowed himself to feel proud that he'd got here and felt good. Plans to crush his own feelings by looking at other people aside.

Dean, Seamus, Susan and probably some NPCs
[info]openbottle

Seamus hadn't thought at all about what he would wear until about twenty minutes before he was due to leave. He realised just how big a mistake that was when he was standing in the middle of his bedroom, wearing boxers and an undershirt with clothes strewn across the floor. Everything he had that was 'nice' was too hot. The weather had been baking the last few days and even knowing Wingbeat had climate-control charms wasn't enough to convince Seamus to wear one of his longer-sleeved shirts. Eventually, sifting through his drawer, he found a t-shirt that had been a gift from Dennis or Dominic - he couldn't remember - a few years ago. It fit tight, but seemed appropriate and Seamus didn't waste any more time second guessing his decision. Instead, he performed too sticking charms - one to attach his undershirt to the inside of his jeans and another to attach the t-shirt to the undershirt. He knew from past experience that club patrons could be handsy, especially around Pride, and he wasn't going to run the risk of someone accidentally pushing his t-shirt up too high.

He'd been torn between the glittery drink and the rainbow one, but had eventually settled for one each of Genie's layered concoctions - too impressed by the work to decline. (He'd have to have one of Dominic's fairy wands next.) He'd downed the shot fast, and was now sipping his rainbow drink more slowly as he watched the celebrations. Or tried to. Dean's shirt was such a vibrant green against his dark skin that Seamus's eyes were drawn back to it over and over again. "I feel so underdressed," he complained. "No one said we were getting dressed up."

For all his complaints, he was grinning. Dean was in a club - and he wasn't miserable. Seamus hadn't minded that Dean couldn't come clubbing with him, but he knew Dean had and that was more than enough reason to be glad Charlie had made this evening possible. "People are going to think I'm your little brother crashing your date," he added with an exaggerated pout. It was true that with the height difference, the curls and the juvenline t-shirt Seamus didn't feel anywhere near as sophisticated as his friends looked. He was used to that with Susan - but Dean was usually as comfy in jeans and a t-shirt as Seamus was.

Susan had been nearly ready for the night, resplendent in her gold dress when Dean had arrived, wearing work clothes and a face that could best be compared to a cold, dishevelled puppy. After a battle of wills which had ended with her having to use one of her scary faces, they'd managed to leave and meet Seamus, and Susan had promptly ordered herself a fairy wand, a glitter bomb, and a rainbow concoction from the bar. "Oh hush," she said, looking at Seamus fondly as she absently adjusted Dean's collar - very much aware of how much Seamus' eyes kept shooting to look at the other man.

She sat back comfortably in the booth a judicious application of death stare number nine had garnered them and gave Dean a look of exaggerated long sufferance. "You look fine, charming, and you're also only shorter than me because I'm in heels so suck it up. Besides, if you'd rocked up on my doorstep with a pathetic expression then you would've been dressed by me as well." She took a long sip of her drink and admired it for a moment - it was strong. "But if you're really feeling inferior we can nip to the ladies and I'll do you up in some classy makeup?" She turned and glanced at Dean, eyeing him critically for a moment and deciding that it was definitely time to stir the pot a little bit. "Besides, both Dean and I are in our hunting attire tonight. Going to find us some handsome men, or glorious women, to do some very questionable dancing with, aren't we dear?"

Dean shifted uncomfortably and frowned slightly as Susan fiddled with his shirt, but refrained from batting her hands away. He knew it wouldn't get him anything but a glare and a hand slap of his own. "I wanted to make an effort, thought I might as well double up on the things that are weird for me," he said to Seamus with an semi-apologetic shrug. "She's not wrong about dressing me though. I realised I basically have variations of work clothes that might or might not have paint on them or really formal stuff, and I sort of felt like I should make an effort. Besides, you look good," he said nodding at Seamus t-shirt with a smile. He also looked a hell of a lot more relaxed in his clothes than Dean felt, but Dean wasn't sure if his discomfort was all clothes or had the new situation thrown in.

He shifted again as Susan declared them to be off hunting people to dance with. He hadn't actually mentioned that to Susan, but trust her to know something was up. "Well, the dancing will certainly be very questionable," he said, taking a slightly defensive sip of his drink. His dancing skills weren't awful, but mostly he pulled them out when he was tipsy or feeling silly, neither of which applied right now.

"I doubt Edgar's clothes would fit me," Seamus pointed out. He and Dean were definitely not likely to fit into any of the same clothes, height-wise, so Edgar's would probably swamp him. "And I'm already covered in glitter, I don't need more make up." It was true. Somehow, in the short time they'd been in the club Seamus seemed to have attracted half a ton of glitter. He could see it on his cheeks and the brink of his nose - and even on his lashes when he blinked. Where it had come from was a mystery. He hadn't touched anyone, but he had been the first to slide into the booth.

Seamus felt a slight itch on the back of his neck and reached to scratch it, inadvertently spreading the glitter to his hair. "Oh?" he asked, looking questioningly between his two friends. "I thought we were here to test out the new section and celebrate not being straight?" Though he was raising an eyebrow, he quickly reoriented himself to this news. It'd be fine. He'd been clubbing alone before, so if both Susan and Dean got lucky (and why shouldn't they, looking the way they did?), he was perfectly capable of enjoying himself alone.

Susan rolled her eyes at the two of them, taking a moment to look heavenward accusingly. "I take you into my house, I dress you in clothes stolen from my brother and this is the thanks I'm given," she said with a ridiculous hair flick. She also shot Dean a look regarding his mooning, before turning to Seamus. "Yes well, he is considerably taller than you, but shrinking charms are a thing that exists my friend," she replied cheerfully. She tilted her head and examined his face for a moment. "Okay so it's slightly unnerving just how much glitter you have on you, did you dive into a pool of it?"

"Of course the dancing will be questionable," she agreed gaily, taking a long sip to finish the first of her drinks. "We're three delightfully questionable people." She looked at Seamus and grinned brightly. "That too obviously," she replied with a wink. "But I should say, though there will be hunting and dancing, neither of you are to let me go home with anyone but the two of you tonight, is that clear? Eddie is back in town and my emotions are all askew and I just want to have some fun with my boys."

"I was nice!" Dean protested, amused. He saw Susan's glance and tried not to visibly wince. Although he knew that she would pick up far more than the average person about his Seamus-related internal thoughts and feelings so he was probably fine.

Seamus' glitter however was, well everywhere, and really damn distracting. It looked good too. And it would be the one time Dean wasn't carrying a sketchbook. Not that he was here to spend his time looking at Seamus or drawing.

He honestly wasn't sure how he felt about it being described as a hunt. Casual perusal maybe. "Yeah, I mean, two in one," he said somewhat weakly and shrugged, and then sipped his drink again, trying not to shift around like he'd been attacked by a tickling charm. He gave Susan a joking salute and a nod. "Right you are," he said. He glanced at his drink and wrinkled his nose. "And can we please stop me drinking too much. I know there's no alcohol, but the bogs are over there and I don't fancy having to bubblehead to get there," he said, waving at the loud part of the club. He wasn't sure exactly where the toilets were, just that Charlie had said there weren't any in the quieter part.

Seamus just laughed and shrugged. "I think I'd remember diving into a pool of glitter, but this is me we're talking about so I suppose it's possible. There was quite a lot on the table when we got here." He gestured to the still-glittery tabletop. Perhaps it was just his habit of restlessly touching everything - including himself - that was to blame. He'd left his thumb ring behind, not wanting to risk losing it in the crowd, so he was at a lost for what else to do with his hands. He'd have to go for one of the fairy wand drinks next, then at least he'd have that to play with.

The image of Dean crossing the bar in a bubblehead charm was enough to make Seamus snicker. "Not a good look, mate," he teased. "You definitely won't pull if you have to do that." He placed a hand on his chest and tried to look solemn. "And I will make the sacrifice of not getting lucky tonight so that I can accompany Susan home. So you're free to..." Seamus made a vague gesture at the club. It wasn't a sacrifice, really. They all knew Seamus didn't go home with strangers he'd just met, however much his libido might have wanted him to.

"Perhaps there's some sort of thaumaturgical law of glitter that means it's magically attracted to your person," Susan hedged, once again glancing at Dean who seemed very much taken with their friend covered in glitter. "There's definitely a couple of thaumaturgical laws about objects and people who are attracted to him, wouldn't you say Dean?"

Susan snorted along with Seamus at the mental image of their friend crossing the dance floor with a bubble charm, as much as she understood why he might need it. "Don't you listen to him Dean, you could pull anyone wearing anything. Why I can definitely think of people who would get hot for you in what you showed up to my door in." She grinned beatifically, though internally chastised herself - the boys weren't that dense. "You should definitely accompany me home. Have you ever stayed at my house yet? I don't actually remember. We could have a sleepover."

Dean gave Susan his absolute sweetest smile while trying to simultaneously slightly murder her with his eyes alone. Only slightly. "Glitter multiplies, or so I remember Aunt Rose saying. Maybe it was just my accidental magic," he said and shrugged. He wasn't touching the thaumaturgical laws bit with a ten foot broomstick. He reached over and gulped some more of his drink, keeping his eyes away from Seamus and over the top of his glass instead.

If Susan said anything else he might just have to do something stupid like try and hex her. Which would only get him thrown out. Pinch her maybe. He sighed. "Yeah, well, whatever you say," he muttered. It wasn't that he was unaware that he was relatively attractive, but that didn't negate his other issues. He snorted. "I'm not sure major flashback land counts as a sleepover," he said dryly, draining his drink and taking a breath before pushing to his feet.

"Dancing was one of the things were were going to do tonight, wasn't it?" he said, cocking a pointed eyebrow at them both. They had the advantage of liquid courage, or probably didn't need it. It wasn't crowded in this area, but it was still a few more people than he was used to dealing with in a social situation. "Anyone else coming?"

Seamus chuckled. "There's an image. Little baby Dean playing in an ever-multiplying pile of glitter." Seamus might, just possibly, be picturing on of the pictures he'd seen from one of Dean's beach holidays and replacing sand with glitter. It was adorable. He rolled his eyes at Susan. "If you mean that I seem to collect Hufflepuffs like some kind of badger-magnet then I'll have to give you that." He felt a slight pang thinking about Justin, who had somehow fallen out of his magnetic orbit. "Or at least, I used to."

With a sigh, he nodded. "Susan's right, you know. You don't need to dress up, and nor does she - though you both look amazing when you do." He remembered Dean's robes from the gallery event a few months back and nodded once more. He tipped his head slightly on one side as he considered Susan's question. "I'm up for that, especially if there's breakfast."

When Dean stood, Seamus's eyes returned to him immediately and he tossed back what was left of his drink. "Yup," he said simply, shimmying after Dean to the edge of the booth and then holding out hands for Dean to pull him up. "C'mon Susan."

Susan smiled sweetly at Dean, who was doing his best to murder her with his eyes while not revealing to Seamus the reason for doing so. Seamus, bless him, was oblivious. "Ah yes," she said, adopting the voice of the Muggle naturalist that her mother was so fond of. "And here we have the baby queer, using his magic to make his first pile of fabulousness. "You do collect Hufflepuffs, because I am their queen and have deemed you worthy of our love." She tilted her head and narrowed her eyes at him."If you're talking about what I think you are, then stop it immediately because that is not a topic to discuss when we're having fun," she commanded imperiously.

"There's always breakfast," Susan agreed with a smile. "Plus you can meet Lucy properly, Seamus. Dean of course has already met her because I had a mental breakdown and forgot to mention the lithe and attractive black man using my swimming pool to her."

She rolled her eyes and downed her drinks. "Let's get this party started then," she agreed, shimmying out onto the dance floor and sashaying towards the boys.

"I should have figured it all out so much sooner," he said, laying sarcasm on with a trowel. At least Susan wasn't giving him away, even if he knew how deceptive her sweet smiles could be. He nodded in agreement to Susan's assessment though. Trust Seamus to think of Justin when they were out trying to have fun. "No being gloomy," he said.

Giving Susan a mock unimpressed look for a second he just rolled his eyes. "Yeah, it'd be nice to see her when I'm not wearing only trunks, and, you know, she doesn't think I'm drowning because I accidentally toppled in the pool when she surprised me," he said. At least in this section there was no need to yell to hear each other. Slight voice raising was sometimes necessary, sort of like in the pub at times.

He pulled Seamus up easily and as Susan joined them he reached for her hand too, dragging them a little further in. He dropped both of their hands and began to sway slightly to the music, trying to relax into it. His eyes followed as an attractive man crossed the edge of the dance floor in his eye line, drink in hand.

Seamus chuckled as Dean pulled him to his feet, laughing at Susan's description - both of Dean as a baby queer and herself as Queen Hufflepuff. "I am not being gloomy," he insisted, shaking his hips to the music as pulled Susan in closer to complete their circle. "I am allowed to mention Justin without all these accusations." There, he'd said it - and it was fine, because he wasn't going to be all moody.

That he happened to look up at that moment and see Dean's gaze tracking someone over his shoulder was just poor timing. "Lucy?" he asked, returning his attention to Susan. "I'd love to, if she won't mind a short and slightly fluffy Irishman at the breakfast table. I do, at least, promise to be fully clothed." He had heard the story from Dean already, but it still amused him. Trust Dean to go falling into the water and need rescuing at the slightest provocation.
