Author's Notes: i really like my Hyne muse, when he's not being a dick.

Never in all his time did he think that something like this would happen. He was no god, but they, elevated him to such a status; then turned, cried and lamented his name when things went afoul.

He knew that he could help them, those created little ones below. But would they turn on him much like the others who beheld his legacy? Even if he did return now and claim his powers, they wouldn't believe that it was actually Hyne.

Perhaps during Hyne's creation from Sorcerer to Godhead, they forgot what he looked like and how he really was.

How stupid she was to think that the bumbling man would actually bring her Ellone? Frozen in suspended animation, sealed in space, was where she was stuck. Her body immobile, her mind however was still free.

She plotted his demise, savored the images of torture that she would inflict upon his weak flesh. She was a Sorceress; strong of body and power. Her guardian floated by in a space suit and she watched him with half lidded eyes.

With the assistance of the future Sorceress, she would free herself and claim a legacy; a country filled with screams of pain.

Author's Notes: my version of electrocoustic's drabble.

It would be tricky but in the end if everything went perfectly, she would rule all. If she failed, her own powers, her kursed legacy would bring her downfall and trap her in a never ending cycle of frustration. Ultimecia played with Time as if it were a mouse caught between a hungry cat's paws.

Time Compression: Sorceress Ultimecia, Ruler.

The spell was cast, suddenly followed by pain through her body. Her plan failed and the witch was launched backwards in time to meet the one who dealt the final blow and the already Sorceress who would gain her powers.

Galbadia handed out the walking papers and pink slips as they came in with 50 points. Balamb managed to keep their jobs with 30 points and Trabia just didn't show.

This week's word prompt: #47 - Legacy

A Legacy is something that everyone wants to leave behind or to be able to follow in the footsteps of a parent, mentor or predecessor. It's something that's handed down through time: heirlooms, property, or maybe even power.

Ultimecia, Adel, Rinoa and Edea have Legacies; their Sorceress powers handed to them at the moment of death, despite the never ending cycle of time they have to dance through. Does Rinoa wish she could end the Legacy and not pass it on? Does Squall wonder if he's to follow in his father's footsteps and become the next President of Esthar? Did Raine leave something for Squall in a hidden Will?
With the Second Sorceress War being over, will the legacy of Garden become obsolete? Or maybe there's someone out there who is a "legacy hunter" aka Gold Digger and trying to get General Caraway's "legacy".
