Caraway Would Never

Title: Caraway Would Never
Characters/Pairings: Solider on a bike
Team: Balamb G
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: The "faceless" soldiers have invaded my brain!

He was more than positive that General Caraway would never launch his soldiers off a slowly moving Garden at another Garden. Ever. He had to remind himself that it wasn't General Caraway leading them, that it was the Sorceress's Knight. A kid, that he swore was younger than him by at least five years.

The solider revved his bike to try to hide the panic that would have been clearly evident on face, glad for once they had to wear helmets and masks.

He just wanted to get on the ground, safely, and continue to fight. Mid-air, wasn't a battlefield.

Weirdest Place Ever

Title: Weirdest Place Ever
Characters/Pairings: The Galbadian Solider Squall Fights for the Flying Pack.
Team: Balamb G
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: I've always wondered about that poor bastard. Did he chalk that whole day up as a "should have gone to the med lab with fake illness?" or something.

He knew that, as infantry, he would have to fight on the ground or on boats, on sandy beaches or rocky shores. Or be launched off of a Garden via motorbikes.

Once they added the odd helo-packs, he even knew that he'd possibly have to have a battle with one of those strapped to his back.

What he didn't expect, was some teenaged brat with more belts wrapped around his waist, to be punching and kicking him for said helo-pack. It was certainly a first in his books as one of the weirdest places for a battle to take place.

Prompt #106

The promptathon was a great event! Thank you to everyone who participated, either by prompting or by writing! I know I got to get some longer drabbles out! I found myself adding words instead of having to edit like a mad bastard!
This brings up a question: Do you think, on occasion, the drabbles should be longer lengths (200 or more words)? It was something I was toying with but only randomly and occasionally. What do you think? Please let me know, I do value your opinions!

This week's word prompt: #106 - Battlefield

A battlefield is where you make it, be it fields, sandy shores of Dollet, outer space or even the confines of one's personal space. Personal space of course is always subject to the reader's interpretation - bedroom or mind space. These are the places for battlefields, places of memories, wars and loves.

Wherever you cast your battlefield, give us a glimpse in 100 words.
