"I'm trying Sir! It's like something's blocking the dialer!" Once more he pressed the large location stones then the orb. It lit for a second, the gate shifted and slid as if it were going to work but stopped before the last symbol was locked in.
"Retreat! We'll lay low and come back." Squall called out as he started to back away from the gate. "Only if we don't get caught first."

Their voices were barely there anymore, whispering in her ear. Did this mean that they were going to be in the flesh soon? That she had done good and would gain more power? Rinoa couldn't wait until the ones named Adel and Ultimecia were here; they could tell her how to get Seifer to become her Knight. ...wouldn't they?

Perhaps they could share their knowledge and help her convince Seifer that he didn't have powers, not true powers, not like her. Rinoa was smug in the fact that she had actually killed for hers. Made herself stronger with those deaths.

There was applause, he nodded politely and vowed to never again would he attend Adult Video Awards with Seifer, “Newcomer of the Year-Gay Video” porn-star.

A rustle of fabric caused her to groan inwardly and glance in that direction. A bowed flaxen head swam in her view; Quistis, her love.

"Can't sleep."
"No my Lady, not today."
"Feel off."
"I, do not understand."
Fuu looked at her girlfriend, frowning. No uniform, but a gown. Further off, stone walls and an ancient doorway.

A/N: OMG! I dunno what have come to me for writing these drabbles on 3 am, nonetheless! Blame on my stupid hormones and my BDSM muse! -.-;

There were no entries and thus, no points awarded. Balamb G gets to hold onto the trophy for one more week.

This week's word prompt: #50 - Alternate Universe

Put the characters smack dab on a different world! Who would they be if they ended up as desert nomads? How about in a casino in Las Vegas? Or stuck in a spaceship, lived at the circus, were underground cave dwellers?

Give them special powers to get rid of all that GF stuff! Is Seifer a pyrokinetic? Can Laguna fly? Are any of them superheroes?

What if Odine was robotic and Hyne built him to be a butler? Suppose the men were the Sorcerors? Would Squall be the "damsel in distress" while Rinoa plays Knight?

This week, take reality and shift it to the left, give it a vigorous shake of the imagination and see what alternate universe you can come up with for the characters! But remember to write it in just 100 words.
