Morning came too fast. It happens like that, when you get orders. Packing up meager belongings, crammed into packs that shared rations and weaponry.

She asked me to visit her rooms. How could I resist when she asked?

We talked into the night and into the ungodly early morn. My leg, didn't cramp up once.

Before I left, I had the thought to ask for a kiss. Something to remember her by. Just as she was leaning in, Kiros whipped the door open, stating that we would end up missing the convoy.

I never did get a kiss from Julia.

"He kissed me."
Quistis chuckled, sipped her wine, calves crossed over Xu's thighs.
"Did you enjoy the kiss though?" Xu glanced over at the blonde who was leaning on the pilot. She caught Nida shake his head. "Why not?"
"He felt awkward." The pilot said before snagging Quistis's glass and sipping it.
"How can someone feel awkward?" Xu countered.
"It was forced. Felt forced anyway."
"I've seen him and Seifer kiss in Undercover Class. That didn't look forced."
Xu snorted. "That was class. It was him pretending."
"Maybe he really is just socially awkward?"
"Tactics and war. That's Squall's forte."

Author's Notes: There are different meanings of consume. One would be to destroy, as by decomposition or burning. the others would be by spending (time or money) wastefully. The other is to be engrossed with by something. This drabble, was not written with the thought in mind of all three being in play - mainly just Seifer's kisses to be something that would engross the body and mind.


His kiss was fire, burning her from the inside out. Consuming her very being. Never would she have thought that a simple thing like a kiss could have been so powerful. So demanding.

Breaking for air was brief and even then, she felt like she was suffocating. He could have been killing her slowly. Killing her with his kisses and she wouldn't have cared.

She wanted more of him. His taste was like honeyed cinnamon - rich, heady and subtly sweet.

He was dated because it his mere presence offended her father. He and his kisses would be missed very soon.

The sun shone down on her and she smiled shyly at the boy sitting beside her. She had butterflies in her tummy but kept smiling as she tucked her hair behind an ear.

He had unruly hair and glasses. It made him endearing and she wanted to hug him and hold his hand again.

He grinned and leaned against her, his eyes darting at her then away before actually kissing her cheek. On the apple of her cheek, the dark purple mark - the Sorceress's Mark.

Ultimecia closed her eyes, filled with happiness. Shattered at whispered words.

"Nothin' but a freak."

Author's Notes: I don't think Squall knows what he wants. I think he doesn't want Rinoa though.

Squall knew what to do, had done the undercover training. Kissed Seifer and made it look like he enjoyed it. Kissing Rinoa should be a cake walk compared to him.

She blinked her large brown doe eyes at him, winked and clutched her hands in front of her breasts. Just like so many other times in their past.

He licked his lips, they were dry. She thought ‘predatory’ and smiled.

Rinoa closed her eyes and let her lips start to pucker. He swallowed, and leaned in more.

"Squall! We have a situation."

Squall thanked Hyne as he left her, pouting.

Galbadia came in with 30 points and no issues with being blind. Balamb G came in with 10 points and only half blind. The rest didn't find their Esunas fast enough.

This week's word prompt: #92 - Kiss

A kiss can be a wonderful thing. It can be something that someone holds close to their heart and given only to those deemed worthy or it can be given away with every smile. They can be something bittersweet and given at the end of a relationship.

Has anyone gotten Quistis's first kiss? Does Cid remember his first kiss with Edea? Does Laguna enjoy the memory of Raine's kisses compared to Julia's? Has Squall kissed Rinoa yet? Despite Irvine being considered a "ladies man" does he actually kiss them, or just bed them? Is Zell just to hyper to hold still for a kiss? Has anyone dared to kiss Fuu and lived to tell about it? Would anyone give the pilot of Balamb G a kiss for his great piloting skills?

Whatever or however the kisses come or are kept, pucker up 100 words worth.
